Looking for Old style FRN OD and red Endura's

#1

Post by messer454 »

My favorite knife period is the Spyderco Endura. I believe I have had every model of them that has came out. Currently I think the only variation I do not have are the old FRN integral clip Olive Drab handled one and the FRN integral clip Red handled one. I had both of these many years ago and had to part with them because I needed money. I will not make that mistake again.

I know it is wishful thinking but I thought maybe one of you guys might have one of these that didn't fit in their collection anymore. Please drop me a PM or email if you know where I can get em. Thanks

What? The "solid blade" Endura Trainer was like a grail knife for me. I had given mine away to my marital arts instructor, in 2001. I "tried" to trade him a newer version a year later (since they were traded) but he kept it. I finally found one about a year ago, and was also able to get the solid blade Delica also... Ah live is good...

Great collection. I think the Endura 4 SE is my favorite knife of all time.

What's that green one that appears FFG?

Tony, It is good to see your Endura collection on the boards. I can't say I've ever collected them but I've carried one continously since 92, so I've accumulated a few. My original is still intact, clip and everything. I carry it now and then for the heck of it but I have to admit I do prefer the latest version in ZDP steel. My all time favorite Endura so far. They just kept on getting better and better over the years. Joe

Holy moly, that's what I thought it might be. How great is that?

Sorry to get OT here, but I recall a discussion that the new G-10 Enduras will be FFG from the factory, but the catalog indicates they will be flat saber-ground. Does anyone know the real scoop?

i think he was referring to the waved endura...they look more blue than gray...there was an E3 and an E4 version of the wave.

Sal stated that they will be FFG just like the ones pictured in this thread.

So, I think it is a safe bet.
