How do you store your s ?

#1

Post by Gary »

I keep mine in a fishing tackle box. It stores my knives where the lures belong and my 204, cloths, lubricants, etc. in the bottom compartment.

How do you store your <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>s?

I store mine in pocket Spyder Pac's of course.
They work great and allow looking or touching access very easily. As they store 32 <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> or 16 <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> depending on the size you use.
Check on them at the SF store online shopping under Accessories for a picture and a description.

I keep mine on a small shelf next to my bed, when they're not in my pockets, of course.

If they're not in one of my pockets, or around my neck, my <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>'s live in the homes they came with, and then in my pistol safe. Don't need my step-son playing with one. I would never hear the end of it.

I use a couple of SackUps knife rolls. These are made from a soft knitted cotton impregnated with silicon. Just be sure to buy the one with 9 pockets, the other models are designed for conventional slip-joint folders and the pockets are too small for <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>s and other "tacticals".

I keep all the ones that are part of my EDC rotation in the top drawer of my bureau. The ones not in rotation currently stay in the boxes that they came in. I'm currently trying to get my local dealer to get some SpyderPacs into the store.

Oh, the one that's actually out on display is the FB03 Lum Tanto. Beautiful knife.

I keep mine in two freestanding Spyderco display towers. Both hold about 12 or so. The rest are in a drawer or my pocket.

Display case for me <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

But I always keep two out of it for carrying so I don't have to lock and unlock everytime.

Right now my Rescue Jr. and my SE Endura are out....but that could all change within the next ten seconds <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

All my knives are in the same place, a little area in the middle of my desk. My regular carry knives are on top an old, large cigar box, while those which don't see everyday use are kept in the box.

In the desk drawer is my TufCloth, an oil-soaked leather glove (stropping and oiling) and my 204.

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

Hmmm... after hearing how you store (and display) your <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>s... I think I might have to make a display case to compliment my functional tackle box. It's now on my to-do list. What a motivation to work my way through my list to get to the display case!?!

This thread was a good idea, now I need help. I don't have anywhere to store my <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>'s. I'm thinking about a wooden box with sliding drawers, maybe similar to a jewelry box, with individual slots for the knives. Any leads? I've seen one source, but they were much nicer than what I am thinking about, I just need "functional" quality for storage. Also, some type of "display" would be OK, I just want it to have individual slots/spaces for the knives. Any ideas/sources would be appreciated---Pachucks
