Sales is gonna chase me with a big stick for what I've already said. :o

Maybe shouldn't have included some of those knives on the list? Well, tell them that at least you didn't go and give release dates or anything. Of course, if you're already going to be beaten, why not? ;)

Secondly, Sal, I notice that you've said "more Schempp Ethnic series", instead of just the folding kukri. Does this mean we'll get another Schempp folder as well as said kukri?
Hi Will,

The Tenacious discussion will begin in the next week or so. The Sage is not scheduled until FEB or MAR. Both my designs. Both Walker Linerlocks. Both with interesting stories and plans.

We've got a few of Ed's ethnic designs in the works. His designs are complex in that they incorporate an existing design philosphy, plus the added complications of making it a folder and adding our opening hole. They are difficult for makers to make right. So I like to make sure they are closer to production before saying much. Some of his designs take a long time to get into production.

I'm trying to catch up on reading some stuff I've missed. This is one of the funniest things I've read in a while. :D

Thanks for spilling all the info Sal. It's always appreciated. ;)

Thanks Sal!

I'm sure the stories for those would be interesting as well.

T-Mag

Post by Spyharpy »

I was quite surprised to see the T-Mag go so quickly. It's a great design and I love the one that I have (may get another). The magnetic lock may be the issue of many not accepting it in preference for the traditional front lock (Mar-McBurnette). It would be great to see this model live on with a front lock. It may sell better and hang around a lot longer. For it to come and go so quickly is kind of sad. Doesn't this knife deserve a second chance? How much more difficult would it be to convert the current design with a front lock?

I applaud Sal and company for being bold with trying new designs. Some are winners and others not. I understand a poor seller may not deserve to be continued but this could possibly be an exception.

The "shackle key" - is this going to be similar to a built-in O2 wrench that can be used to open the top valve on portable oxygen cylinders?

If so, you've already "sold" one of these, especially since it's in H1 (I really like this steel) :D

I can't wait for this one to come out! Thanks, Sal! :D

Wish I could see my "rescue hawkbill" come to fruition one day. :p

I'm excited to see an update of the good old Mariner in H1 steel. :)

JBE, I also am wishing for a "rescue hawkbill". Kind of like the CRKT Bear Claws, except, you know, good. :D

I'm guessing the ocelot was cannibalized by its BladeTech counterpart?

i picked up an adventura because it was cheap at the time (thanks, thom!) and its since become one of my most beloved spyderco designs... great work, alex -- a brilliant knife. sad to see it go, but i'm sure the resale market will continue for years to come... i expect this little spydie will be a hot item in the future... :D
