Happy birthday! :)

Happy Birthday! :D
First they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not stand up, because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Hello you all.....
I am very surprised as I got more reply on this thread than phone calls....
We just moved into our first house.... A fixer'up'her and we have been working on for the past 2 months, while working, fighting flu, weird working schedules, new job for me, university classes,.....
On my birthday, I ran from store to store with my two kids trying to find a specific piece of aluminium for a window, finally to figure out it was easier to have it custom made, made diner supper, washed clothes, dishes, backyard and kids, repaired stuff and my better half came home at 7 o'clock pm, exhausted from work. She took a shower, I opened a bottle of wine to finally relax with her and after a sip, she went to bed. But that was ok because I had some work to do on a university workpaper......
So that is how a grown up birthday is.......
I miss my youth birthday when it lasted 7 to 10 days.....
Did you know that it was the first year in my life I worked on my birthday? I usually took off....
Am I getting mature?!?!?
Anyway.... I really appreciate the fact that even thought I don't.....Sorry, can't come here as often as I used to.... It always feels like home....
Take care...
Simon
