It is chisel ground. The blade sets rather high in the handle too when closed, with just the very edge in the handle at the tip. I may try to adjust the kick just a little to drop it lower. It really isn't a big deal for what I intend to use this knife for, but it I was going to be using it a lot for heavy cutting it would worry me that the edge might become exposed after repeated sharpening.JBE wrote:On the Byrd CE's - Is the PE portion of the blade chisel ground or V-Ground like Spyderco's CE's?





Overall I am very happy with them. I think that they are going to get carried a lot. I lost my Rescom a while back (the first knife that I ever lost while carrying IWB) and I think that the Meadowlark is going to be my EDC replacement for it.
