About time for a contest
Thanks very much for the contest!
The last was "Ratatouille." Beautiful animation, funny and schmaltzy story. Happy ending with a twist. Thoroughly enjoyable.

hi there,
The last movie I watched was "the Condemned"
This is a movie by WWC and it is a no nonsese beat um up movie with some stars from the wrestling scene.
Not a movie for the real young people because some scenes were quit hard.
But I loved watching it.
kind regards,
Werner

THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM
I've enjoyed the last two Bourne movies and knew that they had intended to make a trilogy ever since hearing little inkings mentioned around the time the "Supremacy" was released. To be quite honest I was worried that they would jump the shark with this one; boy, was I wrong  They were saving the best for last!
Very rarely will I say that a sequel is better than the original movie. In fact, I can't even remember the last time I said such a thing, but this was the best of all three! The continuity with the other films is AMAZING. NOTE: You MUST see the first two Bourne films BEFORE watching the Ultimatum! It's difficult to talk about without spilling the beans, but it is one of the very few actually intelligent action films ever made.
A part of me is hesitant to give ANY movie a 10/10 score, but the rest of me says "Why the **** not!!??" Compromise time: I'll call it a 9.5/10 :D

A very wise man once told me "Eat to live; don't live to eat." ...To my knowledge that's the only stupid thing he's ever said.

It's been at least a year for me since I went to a movie. It was the last X-Men. I went with my son so I'll say it was good. Joe

Well I'm usually into the sleepers and the independent films. The last one I saw was called "The End of the Spear." It's a true story about a group of Christian missionaries in Ecuador who try to reach out to the Wadani tribe.
This is a tribe of people that are defined for revenge killing. When the 5 missionaries are speared to death my members of the tribe (who believe that foreigners are cannibals) the wives and children of those men move into the Wadani tribe to teach them about God and forgiveness.
I thought it was a very powerful movie. The landscape was beautiful. I included the trailer below if anyone is interested. Oh, and thanks for the contest!

The most recent movie i watched would one of my nephew's choosing, TMNT. To be honest i was a turtles fan as a kid, and was expecting this movie to be rubbish. But i stand corrected, i actually enjoyed it, and would have to say it was a more welcome addition to the franchise than the 3rd movie.

actually the last movie I watched was super bad, which was okay. not quite as funny as I'd hoped. and the betrayal of the cops was so impossible, it really kind of put me off.
Before that and more interestingly I saw the Bourne ultimatum, which is shot entirely seemingly from a handheld camera, and was good at so jumpy throughout. that I felt very seasick by the end of the movie. was not that far away from throwing up in the theater.

Live Free Die Hard was amazing, I'm seeing it again Saturday and Sunday next weekend. I also saw the Simpsons Movie 3 times in 24 hours, and to me, it didn't feel like a 2 hour long episode, which was the problem. It was like a regular animated movie with some humor and yellow people.

I saw Shadow Man
straight to video flick by Steven Seagal.
I read on imdb that it was his best of the recent flicks because
his voice is not dubbed and the fight scenes are actually him.
That being said, he had potential in this movie to "act"
a raging Seagal desperate to get his daughter back. But no,
he is lethargic almost.
He doesn't come across as calculating or out witting his opponents
either except in that one scene early on where they "capture" him
in a house and he makes some home made fire arms. Best part of
the movie.
Fight scenes are very dissapointing to a martial arts person.
Although I did see an Above the Law dojo wanna be scene, and
an Out for Justice bully the bad guys scene.
Both were not as good as the original scenes but I gotta give him
props for trying.
The biggest dissapoint was the last boss fight scene which did NOT
exist. Which is what made Underseige 2, Marked for Death,
Glimmer Man good.
Another typical Seagal scene that would have been nice is
the teach the bad guy a lesson. Like he did in On Deadly Ground
when he played the slapping hands game.
Over all I must say that I cannot give this movie a high rating.
Right now 1 star.

Recently saw the "Fracture" with Sir Anthony Hopkins.
Aside from the main line of the movie with good lawyer trying to do right
"no matter what" at risk of own career I liked the movie. Again, perhaps
I was looking at it from the different angle :)
P.S. Glad to be back after such looooong time away. A lot of catching up to do!

Congratulations to the winners and thanks David for the fun (well, I was late at the party, but it was fun reading anyway) :)
For my part, I spent this weekend watching part 3 of the Seinfeld series. Needed something to cheer the mood a bit :)
