Native Twins...

#1

Post by dalefuller »

STR just finished the rebuild to my Wally-World Native and sent her home, so I thought I'd post a couple of pix of her and her older "twin". The G-10 Native was done by Chase Axinn at Chax Knives some months ago.

Nice. I like the multicolored handle. I can't tell from the pics but did STR put in liners?
It's better to have knife and not need it than to need a knife and not have it.

Yes... he did the green canvas Native. It has Ti liners/spacer and the micarta scales on top of that. There's a review and more pix on his forum at BladeForums.

The black/green G10 was done by Chase Axinn. It's not lined, but the original FRN scales act sort of like a liner. He laminated the G10 on top of those scales and then shaped it to swell out in the center.

Very nice Dale, thanks for sharing the pics.
Follow the mushin, but pay it no heed.
