Impressions of the Harpy
Impressions of the Harpy
What are your impressions of this knife. It looks nasy, but how usefull is it? Is the curve too deep for general purpose use? What do you use this knife for? I imagine it would be good for cutting nets and stuff, but I doubt one could cut food on a cutting board with it. Harpy owners I want to hear your views?
i love my harpy!!! i can't speak higly enough of it, especially now its come out in VG-10, recently purchased my second since i broke the tip off my first one being stupid (don't worry about that happening to u tho... unless u try throwing it) i never leave home without it unless its like burning down or something.
mum: "help help the kitchens on fire! get some water!!"
me: "k i'll b there in a minute... just get my harpy first..."
you get the idea... my favourite knife ever

The G10 harpy is my carry of choice when working in the yard/garden. I use it for harvesting veggies/fruit, light pruning on trees and shrubs, cutting back blackberry vines and thistles and deepcutting dandelion roots. Its hooked blade works great for these tasks and cutting hose/plastic pipe and hulling walnuts. I find it so useful that I have a spare put away. I recommend the G10 for its grip and strength.
