Knife Part Nomenclature Question

#1

Post by panguero »

Is there an official name for the grip enhancing, tooled grooves found on a lot of Spyderco knives on the back of the blade, just aft of the Spyder Hole?

Whatever you call those notches,

will the new Renegade and Blackhawk have those features?

Often referred to as "lugs".

The "thingy" behind the hole often referred to as a "ramp" as in "thumb ramp".

Hi Sharp. They are generally referred to as "serrations".

There are no serations on the spine of the Renegade & Blackhawk remakes.
