If $$ was no object, which Spyderco?

Hello all,
Happy Friday!! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>
So, if you had to choose one current production Spyderco, and cost was not an issue, what would it be?
"Hope for the best. Be prepared for the worst. You'll never be disappointed."

Well since money wouldn't matter I would get my very own 8 inch stainless steel serrated Harpy made <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle> Only one knife and maybe instead of the regular vent my name would be cut through it like the vent <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>
*OH YEAH* That would be the best knife ever, for me.

an "R" would be pretty cool, prehaps with "ruxton" cut out of the blade <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle> oh and while we are on the subjest a fully working plain edged harpy....... solid 24k gold <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle><img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle><img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle><img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle> oh yeah!

I had the same problem about a month ago. I was on a "spydie hunt" and I could not decide on which spydie to buy. So I made my final decision and purchased a Chinook with the 50/50 blade. I just liked the quality and the way it feels. I have it with me every day. It is worth every penny. Now I have to decide on which one to get next.

Lsaulog,
After thinking very hard about it, I would choose one of these three:
1. Howard Viele
2. Gunting
3. Shabaria
Can I pick three, please, please???? <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

If money is no problem, the answer is easy.
All of them <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>
For me though it would be a tough choice between Military, Howard Viele and the Gunting. All three are elegent in thier simplicity, yet very fit for their respective purposes.

Yog,
Lsaulog just wants us to choose ONE, don't be so greedy and leave the rest for me. <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>
LOL! Good reply, tho... <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>

As far as the current models go, I'd still have to go with my Starmate. If getting a custom one was an option, a titanium handled Police model with a titanium clip and a full serrated S60V blade, and an inlay of some sort, perhaps G10, to aid in handle traction. My personal knife would not have a lanyard hole, and would say "Haji Model" on the blade, inlaid with gold wire. The clip would have a Jolly Roger on it. The tip would be redesigned to have a bit more beef in it, to reduce the fragility of the tip on the current model. WHile I'm at it, the handle would be available in a natural finish, or the black Roguard finish from Robar. That aughta be sufficiently expensive. I'm gonna need 600 of each...
Good Morning All,
And thanks for the replies.
Many excellent suggestions so far, and a few "vanity" requests with names engraved are not bad ideas either.
A "Spydie Hunt" is very accurate. Good catch, Razor Dude!
Christmas is a comin' and the naughty or nice list has my name on it! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle> Kahz, as always, we seem to be in tune. Your THREE suggestions are on my list! <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>
The CF Civies, Walker, Horn or Starmate, all great looking knives. But such a difficult decision,...picking ONLY one...and yes, ALL of them would be ideal! <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>
One that hasn't been mentioned is the Bob Lum. Any negatives to this knife?
What about the new models for 2002? Ryan, looking in your crystal ball, would you pick one from existing production, or wait 'til 2002's lineup?

Lsaulog,
Yes, that Shabaria just started to make it's way into my subconscious and I am having trouble sleeping... <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>
I think I need to find a rich relative who might want to leave me all his/her money real soon. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>
The Ayoob did fall down a few places in my "most wanted" list... must be that unusual Shabaria.

Haji, I believe that a ti handled police does exist. Very rare and expensive, but does exist. Check ebay. Right now, mine would be a Sante Fe stone works cricket or a custom mouse or cricket by Frank Recupero. Or perhaps a Perrin LaGriffe with Spyderco serrations.
