Matriarch!

Good buy?

I want something for self defense even though I will never have to use it. I just want to be able to say, "Oh that's a self defense knife made by Spyderco.".

If I get it I will get it sometime next year, maybe in March but I dunno.

If I have about 160 dollars in March I will get it.I think Sal said the plain edge Harpy was coming in March...

Who here has one?
Is there a site that reviews it?

I haven't seen them for less than at least 90 bucks. And as far as defense knives go, don't even think about carrying one unless you are trained with it. Also, the Matriarch is one nasty knife. It will be hard to explain to an LEO what purpose you have for it besides defense.

I've never really compared prices on them I have very little intrest in it because i carry a knife for utility cutting and a 1911 for self defence.
I must say if I could get one cheap enough I would want it for collection purpose.

Well it's not like I am gonna take it and wave it around. I will carry it a lot but won't wave it around. I will only take it out when needed, which will probably never happen, so I will carry it just to feel safe. And when I decide not to carry it, it will sit at home being proudly displayed in my room in my display case.

And if an LEO can't see me doing anything irresponsible why would he ask me to empty my pockets?

You all are probably sick and **** tired of hearing me change my mind but I changed it again, I decided the matriarch is too vicious for me and decided to get the Rescue. My final choice
