I consider my BIG C54BMP Calypso the holy grail of my collection.
I still owe very much to a good friend who gifted it to me. ;)

The Deacon wrote:Well, the most commonly cited ones are the Evolution Set, the C22 CF Michael Walker and the C27 Jess Horn. These models have two things in common, they were all introduced in the early '90s and they were all "high ticket" items from the start.

Others commonly added to the "grail" list are the 25th Anniversary Delica, C67 R (original version), the WTC Knife, and the Ramco Laguiole.

My personal grail was the Blanchard Flying Eagle Police. Not sure why, as it's not a knife I would never think of carrying, but then again, neither are five out of the eight knives above.

Of the ones normally cited, I would say the CF Walker is the most iconic, as it incorporates so many facets of Spyderco's philosophy.
I might add a couple of personal favorites to this list, but as usual, Deacon sums it up pretty well. I'll narrow it just a bit with my personal bias ... :D

Numero uno: CF Walker

The rest on my personal favorites list .. in Stevie's order :D : Jess Horn, Anniv Delica, WTC Knife, Blanchard Eagle Police Knife

I'd have to go with the TTZ Probe, The Dino-Bone Executive, and the CF Walker/Klotzli

The OKCA Goddard came out in 1998. It was the large Micarta version with wood inlay embellishment made by Santa Fe Stoneworks.
fellyjr, you are great, that's really really kind! That's what I call a true spydersolidarity... :)

The Deacon, you're right, that's it. I have only one little B&W picture of the OKCA Goddard, and yes, it seems to be a beaver, with branches and pine trees in the background.

edrose, I will truly do my best to track down one of these for you! I will be there when they open the doors on Friday for members only, so I will have an opportunity to see things before the general public does. Wish me luck! ;) :D

Not sure how I forgot this one in my earlier post, but my quest for the Spyderco Yellowhorse Police Knife that's featured in the Spyderco Story lasted several years. It came with a certificate signed by Sal. It's one of my personal Holy Grail Spydies. :spyder:

Ti Police
Ti Lum,
Ti Atr
original worker

to be honest there are more depending on the day, and what pictures I've seen recently. There was some kind of chefs knife Spyderco made out of a special Aus 8(W) tungsten added steel. I'd love to find one of those for some testing and home useage. I've never even seen a picture of it though. Joe

I am amazed! It turns out that no plain edge C16 knives were made according to this link!

No wonder I was never able to find a plain edge C16... :o

I got a grey FRN Goddard in plain edge though! :D

And the C16S :D
IIRC, there are two C16P's. Sal has one and Wayne Goddard has one...that post from Sal is somewhere here on this forum...

KX03, I don't know if this is the one you mean though.
