A new illustration.

Completed in Illustrator CS2. I really hope CS3 comes out soon as CS2 Illustrator is almost unusable on intel macs wich is all I have at home. I tend to stay at work late so I can work in Illustrator on my G5 PowerPC at work.

It's a character from the TIM universe. One of a trio of friends. Skip, Kris, and Susan.

Pretty cool. PS CS3 is out, but Illustrator still has a few months to go, hang in there.

Really? I got PS CS3 maybe 2mo ago and I haven't had a single hitch with it. I'm not in to design or anything so I don't put many hours in to it, but so far no bugs on my end (running MB CD 2.0GHz, 2GB RAM)

Well it's just not as smooth as it should be and tends to disrupt my system both on my dual-core 1.83ghz 1GB RAM mac mini and my Dual 2.0ghz 2GB Power PC. I also get occasional weird errors. I think they just haven't worked out all the Universal Binaries bugs yet.

your drawing reminds me a little of the characters on a japanese animated series called "Gunslinger Girls." it's shown (at least in the east coast US) on friday nights, 11:00 PM (EST) on IFC (Independent Film Channel).

your pic shares with that series the whole vibe of the blurring of innocence and violence.

It's a common theme in fiction and one that appeals to me. I'm also a big fan of characters who are far more dangerous than they appear. When you suddenly realize that who appears to be Goliath is in fact David and the one who apppears to be David is more dangerous than ten Goliaths.
