My C52 Collection to date...

#1

Post by will_77 »

I guess if I had to pick my favorite Spyderco, it would be the Caly Jr. I'm not buying nearly as many Spydercos since I've gotten married (big surprise), but I've always had a soft spot for the Caly. Here is my collection to date. The main one I'm lacking is the stainless pe, that one seems to be elusive. I'd also like a stainless se without the prca logo on it. Other than that, I think I have all the ones made to date. Am I missing any others?

Very nice collection will_77,

I'm with you on the PE SS, it seems to be pretty tough to find. A nice addition to your collection would be the Caly 3's the UK Pen and the DK Pen knives.

Thanks for the comments, everybody. I eventually want one of each caly jr (not counting my users), and I'm getting closer. Does anybody know if all of the prca logo knives were se, or if they did pe versions also?

I believe they made a PE Micarta W/PRCA logo but not in the SS.

Enviable collection of Caly's Will! I esp. like that PE micarta one.......I've got a SE micarta one which "carries" like a dream compared to the FRN handled ones.....I guess u'd call it "more gentlemanly"....
I'd love a sprint run of burgundy micarta Calypso Jr. with solid ZDP 189 while i'm dreaming here....

My dream caly jr would be a green canvas micarta handle, with the laminated zdp189 blade. The unlined micarta ones are great because they're strong but still light. I'm carrying the new black frn zdp189 caly jr now, and they just cut like no tomorrow.

will_77,
nice group of caly jr's. I'm a FRN PE fan. I never did much to chase down a PE Micarta. I did get one of the SS PE's though :) This model makes for great for gifts too. I wanted a RED one for a while, I had STR turn a UKPK into one with Red Micarta. You could see if he could put Green Micarta on one of the black ZDP's :D

it's funny you mention that, that's exactly what he did for one of my zdp jess horns (green canvas micarta and titanium liners), I may look into getting one made to match:
