CF stretch

#1

Post by Rogcohen »

Hi everyone,

I remember reading there was going to be a sample of these at the Shot show. Hope I'm getting this right, but isn't it going on now? If so, has anyone got to handle the CF ZDP Stretch?

I bought a CF BG-42 Military and I absolutely love it, except one thing, it's to big for my small hands. How does the Stretch compare? I know it's a smaller knife, so I was thinking it might fit better, and I love Spyderco's grippy CF.

Thanks!
Roger

If and when the CF Stretch comes out I will be in line for one . I have both S30 CF Mil and a Stretch . If your hands are too small for the Mil the future CF Stretch may be a good fit . Another anticipated Spyderco - more gray hair for me .

I don't recall Sal saying anything about having samples of the StretchII at SHOT. He did say he was carrying one himself, though. I guess someone could try picking his pocket :D

He also said it was a little longer (3 mm IIRC) than the original. Since I've never handled one of the originals, that doesn't mean anything to me, but it might to you.

It's a nice looking knive, and CF and ZDP can only make it better. He mentioned it'd be at shot in this thread:

but that was awhile ago. Ah well, as with all good things, you can only wait!

Yeah, I reviewed the casual bombshell thread, and there were a couple of references to samples for the SHOT show, but I read his post about EDCing one a lot more recently, so I remembered it. :o

It also sounded like he was still trying to shave a few more grams off before the design was final. Still looking forward to this one. ;)
