well, it's getting pretty bad. the side of my car past the tires is covered in snow drift, and i would say it's at about 16 to 20 inches. fun stuff. i'm hoping for no work tomorrow.

Plus, the red cross and national guard are headed out to Denver International Airport. People are thinking they won't be getting out of there til Saturday!

Here in the heart of downtown Denver, we have +/- 9",
with drifts around 21/2'.
The wind is awful. The Governor declared a State of Emergency,
and mobilized the National Guard to start rescuing stranded motorists.
According to the radio, all the highways in and out of town are closed.
It is not too cold, but it is dropping quick.
Stay warm, and take care everyone.
Thanks, Terry

Well it's now 6:30. What a day!!! I left work at 1:45 this afternoon and arrived at home at 5:35. It usually is a 45 min drive  It truely is a miracle that I made it home. I've lived in Colorado for 22yrs and that was the toughest nail biter drive ever. I was very lucky to have a snow plow bring me home for the last leg.

We have about 15 inches of snow with drifts that are almost 3 feet from the wind. The forcast is for snow thru the night until tomorrow afternoon. I'll take some pics for all of you in the morning

[quote="Hannibal Lecter"]My Dear Friend,

I feel exactly as you do, much to the annoyance of my sweet wife! I love snow and cold weather. Of course, I have a higher than average body temperature and despise summertime entirely. OTOH, my wife hates cold weather due to her lower body temperature]

Lower than average body temperature... Wouldn't you be in the Polar bear club Also?!?!? ;)

And don't forget: Time doesn't mather when there is a snow storm. Everything slows down.... you are late? Well, it does not mather ...Ok! Unless you're a UPS truck delivering something from the Pharmacy!!! :p

I envy you, Colorader...

26" in the backyard. 60" Drift on the side of the garage. And they forecast another 17 hours of this stuff.

Love the snow but dread the shoveling. Already about 12" here in the front range south of Spyderco central with another 12" forecasted overnight.

Found an image of someone else less than happy with the white stuff ... LOL!

Spyderco will be closed tomorrow. Here in the suburb I live in, they've announced that all streets will be considered closed as of 7pm, anyone found on the road will face a possible ticket/fine. This is a treat for my in-laws though; they're from Tulsa, OK. They are not accustomed to this weather at all, but on the upside they were very impressed with my driving! :)

Well the fun has not ended for the day. Some friends of ours bought a house down the street from us today and came over to celebrate a bit :D I realized that I was out of gas and was going to need to get the snow blower out later again tonight and tomorrow. I looked at my buddy and said lets go get some gas up the road. He grinned from ear to ear. He has a new FJ cruiser and let me tell you this thing rocks!!! :D We had NO problem going wherever we wanted :)

another shot from our front driveway area. I'll take some more pics tomorrow. All of you fellow Spyderkids in Colorado be safe :D

Well,
This is the first time I can remember downtown being quiet!
I have been awake for 3 hours, and have seen 1 car, and 1 snowplow.
We have snow averaging 20", with drifts of about 30"-50".
It is beautiful, and still snowing slowly.
We can see drifts that look suspiciously like cars, with antenna coming out. :D
Take care.
Thanks, Terry

I've been in the snow maybe 5 times. I love snow activities, but I don't think I would be able to handle living there for long. I'm in Northern Cali and some of these spoiled brats were making coments on how cold it's gotten over the past couple of days.

"Can you believe that I saw a thin layer of ice on my car this morning? This weather is crazy!".

"Watch out, it might rain today."

Tese types of comments are semi common over here :o .

I hope you all stay safe :) .
