I placed a small order with Wildealz yesterday. I got an email from David apologizing that, due to the holiday weekend, my order wouldn't be shipped until Monday (which is what I expected). This indicates to me that he is committed to customer service.

I'm an admirer of Spyderco's designs. Using them is like immersing yourself in music or studying a painting in a museum. I buy some "fine" art but my preference is for usable art.

4 s ter wrote:Yes I did - After he had wrote in his second post that he was the owner of Wildealz. He has since corrected that by indicating that the post was actually the text of an email from the real owner of wildealz.

Remember, his second post started:

Also if anyone should have doubts on whether I am a legit company. A quick view for businesses at http://www.washingtonstate.gov will show that I am a registered and legitimate business owner in the state of washington. (my bolding)

He has corrected that to indicate that it was an email from Wildealz. It's now clear that eastr wasn't posting to promote a company he owns - it wasn't after his original second post.

It easy to criticize misinterpretations after all the corrections have been made. If you feel the need to continue this, why not take it to PM. I feel no need to justify myself to you in this forum and this will be my last post in this thread.
Well...I thought we had put this thread to bed.......I guess not.

4 s ter, please reference the thread you allude to in your quote below that states eastr posted, in your words, "a deceptive post a few days ago". I think this will help finally lay the matter to rest if we all can read this post of which you speak.

Not quite. He posted an similar "deceptive" post a few days ago - without the followup that identified him as the "owner" of the company he was

Why don't you post just the response to this question that that you asked for by PM and I responded to by PM - 20 minutes before you posted the same question to here? You already have the reference.

I've been dithering and finally decided to order a Persian from WilDealz. I had lost mine and had not gotten another because I was so annoyed about losing it. I ordered the last one on this site, and now I am really looking forward to the remarkable feel of the Persian once again.

I ordered a Dodo from them last Sunday. I got the knife on Wednesday. Everything went very smooth and David was quick to answer a question I had. Everything went just as smooth if not smoother than other well-known knife dealers I've done business with (NGK, Knivesplus, Knife Works).

Turns out I did not order their last Persian. I got a prompt notification from the owner that they had actually sold out (with a nice apology for the inconvenience), and a prompt notice of refund came from PayPal. This reflects well on their commitment to customer service and satisfaction.

That is true. I would be upset.
EarthDog, the good news is that you still can buy Persian.
I bought my first Persian in August and I love it so much that I bought few more later. The last one I received just couple day ago. Get Persian before it is too late. I love this knife.
Good luck.

The wildeals.com website is inaccessible. Has anyone received any messages from the owner or orders from him in past few days? I ordered six knives from the site last week (11/28) and other than automatic order confirmation emails I've heard nothing  . I also emailed the site owner with a question (twice) regarding some model information and he has not responded. I find this odd because the Dodo I ordered from the site a week prior arrived in 3 days, NIB as said. I was very impressed :D . I'm sure this is just a server problem, but I would like some piece of mind. Thanks.

I ordered a couple of DoDo's from Wild Dealz (WD) Sunday night and they arrived today. Also ordered a Caly3 at the same time and David Osborne (DO)e-mailed on Moday to say he was out of stock on that one. NGK was not so it came from there. Also, I did encounter some IE7 security issues with the WD web page and e-mailed DO about that - he replied that he was aware of the problem and was working to resolve. Of course - its all anecdotal. My sense is that WD/DO may just be burried in the weeds and working to catch up. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what comes of it all.

Site's down because he's moving hosting providers as his previous one couldn't handle the load. Been dealing with DO a lot recently and it's been a real pleasure. I've got a wish list a mile long that I plan to get from him next year (all Spydies, of course  ).

I want a Persian. If only my finances matched my wants. I have bought from David as well. Got prompt professional service. Would recommend!

The following (below) is a QUOTE from a return e-mail I received yesterday from David Osborne after I emailed him asking about his shipping calculator being screwed up. I received a response from him about two hours after I sent him the first message.

Sounds like a decent guy with good business practices.

QUOTING MR. OSBORNE:

"Domestic shipping for both knives would be 4.05 USPS priority. I am working to get the shipping calculator fixed right now. I would also hold off on your order until the end of the week as I am currently switching hosts (my current host cant handle the amount of traffic I am experiencing right now) I can pull these two knives and hold them aside for you if you like. Thanks and have a good day."
