the wait: day 1
-bought cleaner kit
-rented a g19 and burnt 200 rounds
-bought an additional 500 rounds
-bought wiley x pt1 with 2 lenses

the wait: day 2
-bought 1 year membership at the range
-bought 2 15 round clips
-bought duffel bag to caddy all my crap
-burnt 300+ rounds with a G19, G21, G22

the wait: day 3
-shot about 100 rounds my buddy's SW .38 SPL
-shot about 100 rounds in his G21
-sighed as i have to wait till friday

the wait: day 4
-convinced my best buddy to buy a membership at my range
-watched him to buy a beretta px-4 storm 9mm (awesome gun; smoother than the glock and less recoil, but i still like the g17/g19 more personally)
-burned 50 rounds on a SW 1911 (i HATED it despite all of the good reputation)...i would take a g21 any day over it for protection and general shooting
-burned 200 rounds in a g17
-worked with a few buddys on shooting
-bought another 500 rounds of ammo
the wait: day 5
-shot 200 rounds with a .22
-shot 100 rounds with the px-9 storm (**** those mags suck to load)

the wait: day 6
-no gun fun as i got friggin food poisioning

the wait: day 7
-having everyone tease me for one more day
-23 hours.

Hi Zac, brand new magazines usually take some time to "break in". 13 round G21 mags suck to load until the mag is broken in a bit; so I'd assume the Beretta mag. would also be so. Most new guns come with a magazine loader tool to facilitate the process. I'm willing to use the tool and save my thumbs.

Give more feedback on the PX storm if you get the chance. I have an interest in this one.

Since you are going through so much ammo. You might consider buying some online. Cheaperthandirt is pretty good for prices. I would avoid Wolf steel cased ammo. If nothing else it fouls up your gun much more than regular ammo, not to mention some say the steel casings are much harder on the gun. :)
Follow the mushin, but pay it no heed.

So I have went through over 1000 rounds already without a single problem. I have shot Remington UMC, Winchester target rounds, Federal, Magetech. I like Magtech the most by far despite its higher cost...I do not shoot leadheads. The gun has performed pleasingly well and at the end of the day, it is a fun gun to shoot and a great defensive piece.

My buddy's PX-4 Storm is nice, but it has had a few cycling problems. Overall, it is a good gun. Personally I do not like the single/double style and I do not like any sort of trigger guard (I like the Glock design in that pulling the trigger releases the safeties). I do not know if the Beretta will fire without a mag (something personally important to me). Most people who shoot it like it quite a lot and it is a fun gun to shoot. I would not buy it over my Glock and I am probably going to buy a G21 as the quality has spoken.
