could we get a sharpmaker in 10 and 15 degs?

That's one of the improvements that's been suggested for the Sharpmaker. With newer steels that can achieve higher hardness, some steeper angles for the Sharpmaker would be warranted.

Though the 30 on the Sharpmaker is plenty sharp as it is, why would you want 10? Is there even a steel that'll hold that thin of an edge? :eek:

I think he means per side, so 10=20. 15 per side=30, so maybe 10 and 12 (20 and 24)?

I think that a variable angle sharpener from spyderco would be cool. Before someone says the 204 already is I mean something which could go all the way from 0 to 90 degrees. It could even be one sided (to avoid trying to match up two sides) with or with out a rotating base perhaps. Or it could be a very simple device which folded up and and fit easily into a backpack.

Just dreaming :D
