The NEXT Spyderco Forum Model!!!

#1

Post by ronybear »

Has it been long enough to start wishing for the new model? I don't think so. The first Spyderco Forum Model, the Military Plain Edge with the Pearl Spydie Bug, was just beautiful. I think Sal should do another Military Plain Edge for the next FORUM MODEL!!! One with Blue G10 Scales or Carbon Fiber Scales! WHAT DO YOU THINK????

How about a blue g-10 with CF inlay?

We all start with 10 fingers. Those with Spydies have 9 to spare, Still need a thumb. Good thing I still have 8 to spare...

Out of a hundred or so ELUs, you want to use the same one again?

Not me, thanks. I'd rather see a special run of the Wegner, Chinook or the large Calypso, or one of the soon to be released models.

Well there was already the Military which is pretty big, so how about a small or med. size knife?
My suggestion is :

Calypso Jr. VG10 steel, flatgrind blade, plainedge, stainless handle with blue G10 grip insert. Also a gold clip with a black SpyderBug.

Still like the idea of an Endrua 50/50,FRN camo handles and black blade.

I don't know if I have mentioned it before , but I would suggest a VG-10 Delica PE with G-10 handle.

Keep it black tho.

With all the respect and despite being a Military fan, I believe, we´ve had enough of those in the past.

If there were to be another Forum Knife, I´d vote for: A retro "Q" or "R" model; VG-10 steel, G-10 or even better - CF scales, compression lock, reversable Ti clip and a special sheath (like the one that enclosed to the C27 Jess Horn )!

Take care!

The Military is awesome indeed, but I would much rather see another model.

Lets see.........How about a Wegner in blue g-10 or carbon fiber and VG-10 steel?

I would be interested in a Spyderco Forum Model, regardless of what it ended up being. Of course a Wegner(specially Jr)would be awesome. FMI, when was the Military Model out? Thanks, Jeff

Well since we are talking about voting (=hoping). Maybe we could see a Gunting with green G-10 scales and a tad bit longer blade. Would be very nice (and would shut up people like me constantly whining about a bigger Gunting folder).

depaul> you bring up a good point.

a Q with vg-10/g10 would be a nice forum model.

dennis>
nice idea... a c49 in blue g10... vg-10 would be a great addition to the wegner jr. Not much could be done to impove it... maybe a Military type linerlock? Haven't heard of a military closing yet. The c48/49 are designed to allow a lockfailure with all fingers intact, just add a labrat(aka millie) linerlock on it and it would be good to go.

We all start with 10 fingers. Those with Spydies have 9 to spare, Still need a thumb. Good thing I still have 8 to spare...

I'd go with, let's see, a better knife that would cost more.
How 'bout a SS Civilian, with blue G-10 inlay, CMP-440V blade, with the SS parts of the knife black Ti coated? Put a black clip with gold bug on, or maybe even a cool blue clip.
I'd buy a couple, and would perfer that over a military (sorry )
If not do the military idea...maybe do both .

I just got my carbon fibre Civilian.I'm keen for a Carbon fibre Military or Police.
But then again I'm keen for anything in carbon fibre.
Sal and folks, well done on both the Carbon Fibre Civilian and the Worker Commemorative.
I love em both.

How about a "mouse" sized harpy with blue G-10 and call it the sparrowhawk?

Anything okay for me, but I would seriously prefer a smaller knife. I can only use the big ones for display and I love to use a blade ...
I'd really love a Shabaria Junior with 2 1/2" to 2 7/8" blade ...
