Knife shops in the Internet

#1

Post by Kahz »

This may have been discussed in the past, but I am new here, so here goes. I know of the www.knifecenter.com, but I am wondering if there are any other _reliable_ knife shops in the Internet, meaning that they sell only originals. Also, anyone know a legit eBay seller who sells good brand name knives? Thanks!

One of the best that I've delt with many time is A.G. Russell's in Springdale,Ark.
A.G. has been in the knife business a long time and knows his stuff. He sell many
brands including his own. And his warranty is unbeatable.....It's this simple ...don't
like it send it back now or later. Check his web site.

Though Roger's Spyderco selection isn't as wide as Knife Center's, the service from Bayou LaFourche matches anyones. They get orders out the door quickly. They've rebuilt their site, so more information about each knife is available than in the past. Generally, their prices are lower than all but a couple places I won't do business with anymore. The URL is: http://64.49.193.154/store.asp

I also like Knife Outlet; Skylands; and from what I hear, New Graham and Triple Aught Design are both good.

shootist16, Dennis Bible sells knives. His web page only lists customs at this point, though for awhile he was selling manufactured knives. I've made my last several purchases from him. His web site is in his signature. He posts here, in the general forum at Blade Forums.com, and in the Spyderco forum there also. A search at BF will turn him up immediately. He's a great guy, gives great service, and I can't recommend him enough. Except for closeouts from Smoky Mountain Knife Works -- all of which have made me very happy -- I don't think I've bought anything in 6 months or so from anyone but Dennis and Bayou LaFourche. I also have bought knives from other forumites at Blade Forums.

Good luck!

Hi Kahz, welcome to Spydieland, where all things are possible!

I would stay away from Ebay on most things, as the prices most sellers demand is equal to, or sometimes greater than, the price of a new knife from a store.

Keepin' it real...real sharp, that is.

I have found World Wide Knives very reliable with reasonable prices. They are located in Columbia, SC. They have a very user friendly web site with pictures. I have purchased approx. ten Spyderco products from them. On two separate occasions, I e-mailed them to inquire about the availability of a particular item (Blue Delica, Tri-Angle Sharpener) and they posted pictures on their site the same day, so that I could order by clicking the button. They also have provided helpful advice on maintenance.

Wow! One of my very first threads back up here?! Well, keep up the good store suggestions, any Spydie lover welcomes those.

Has it been over 400 posts already? Wow! I am getting ooooold.

Oh, and the Knifecenter has added the Lil'Temperance to their stock, for those interested in this knife.

as far as ebay goes theres an ebay store called sawyers cutlery...iv only done buisness with them once but they were very fast and they had almost flawless feedback...several thousand positives to 6 negatives....and theyv got an excellent selection of spydercos among others. i was happy with them..if you order via ebay try them first
