Sal,
I own live gunting n°287, and I am happy with the shiny clip, as I use skunkwork sheath. But I understand the need for a less visible clip. I hate black clips used on gunting, I just cannot bear them.
By the way, I had the chance to handle the blue gunting prototype and I saw it had a bead blast clip.
Wouldn't it be a good alternative to these shiny black clips (I heard you have to send clips to Japan to have them blackened) ??

Frederic,
I think that's a great idea. Bram has said that the clip on his personal Gunting is sandblasted. The clip on my aluminium Centofante Jr appears to be sandblasted and I'm planning to do the same to the clip on my gunmetal blue Chinese Folder when (if<img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle>) I get one. I find the black finish on the clips wears after a while but the shiny clips are just too noticeable.
