Howdy all! :)

In another thread, Sal posed a question: Is there a market for a Pink D4?

I think there is, and here is where you can voice your opinion! I believe that there is enough ELU support to justify a 500 piece run, but we've got to prove it.

I'm always rooting for more color in the Spyderco line up, and not just for the lady folk. ;) I personally would carry a pink Delica if it came to light. :D :cool:

Maybe another thread should be started to vote for edge type. I'm totally biased towards PE, but I think some SE should be made too (don't you want a pink Delica, Arend? :p ). Not really big on CE, but I would take it if it was all that was offered.

Well, what do you think, who wants a pink Delica 4?

I would most definitely pick up a waved Endura, I'm not too sure about an unwaved delica though... I probably still would. Can you say Sheeple Friendly?
edit: I'm also assuming that this is going to be a hot pink handle, not subdued.

I certainly would pick one up. Just like Axlis I'm always for a little extra color in the line up. That's one of the things I love most about FRN is its ability to be done in many different colors.

AFAIK all the previous pink :spyder: s have been SE, so I think this one should be PE.

Yes indeed, My 14 year old daughter would love to have a pink delica. And you know what I would'nt mind adding one to my collection. I'll take two!!

On the downside, a pink D4 would be a poor seller right out of the box as has been shown in the past.

On the upside, there IS a market for the pink Delica, even if small, and it's almost become tradition for each generation of the Delica to be made in pink at some time or another.

Given the construction of the D4, there's a solution that would not require any retooling or risk of massive profit loss, be much more economical to the ELU, and target precisely those who want a pink D4.

Two words: Aftermarket scales.

I'd still probably pick up 1-3 pink D4's at some point for my girlfriend and mom and as an overkill NKP-friendly blade.

I'm all for that. I think that aftermarket scales in different colors would be superb. The only problem are the idiots out there who couldn't figure out how to reassemble the darn thing correctly and would have to send it to warranty to have that done. Although you could always make them figure it out by charging them to reassmeble the knife for them.

personally nt a big fan of the Delica in general but I think it's a season for pink and I think they would sell at least 500 I might even buy one just for the back story and novelty of the whole thing.actually think the Delica is probably about the right size to anything bigger more aggressive in the whole is just a cute pink knife thing what kind of fade.so I'm a firm maybe

...what i tryed to say is that pink is one if not THE most terrible color i can think of in a knife IMHO.
