Actual users other than Spyderco are the Swamp Rat Howling Rat and a new Bark River Clip Point Skinner that I hope to break in soon.

Lately, only Kershaw has been able to temped me. The Spec Bump I really like. The Offset is still on my list (if I ever be able to find a place that has some in stock and the Ti ZDP "thingy" looks very nice aswell. The only thing with Kershaw though is, that I am absolutely unable to remember the names: Blur, Speed-/Spec-bump, Mojo, Boa, Anaconda, Leek, Lettuce,.... its all so confusing  :D .
My Favorite Non Spydie Knives
I have two Strider HAKS (Hideaway knives) that I carry on a daily basis. I carry one on my duty belt behind my mag pouches in a concealed manner so as not to offend the sheeple in my jurisdiction the other is on my vest.
Also have a Microtech Mini Socom Auto that I carry.

Phil Boguszewski> Spyderco's next collaboration????? I hope
I also have an affinity for the Benchmade model 640, Phil Boguszewski mini Spike  . I also have it's big brother the model 650  . My pal Blackninja can testify to that one ( 650).yablanowitz wrote:Still carry my BM 640 Mini-Spike every day. Love that thing. :D
I also like my BLADE-TECH "Mouse" since Spyderco don't make one anymore
My number one hope above all right now is for Spyderco & Phil Boguszewski to do a collaboration together. It's just got to happen>> Life won't be fair if it doesn't

Good thread.I have 9 benchmade knives, all with the axis lock (except
my Auto).Only one has found its way into my work rotation (705). I like the
smoothness of the axis lock. Spyderco is still my fav (30+) and I
can honestly say i've never traded a Spydy for a BM,but I've traded
a few BM's for Spydys :D

Buck makes a neat lil neck knife, black, in S30V and really affordable, but I dont remember who´s the original designer right now...
I scored this S30V Buck Hartsook neck knife recently...my 1st ever Buck purchase!....I like this necker a lot ....but must fuss about the sheath's loose fit (if i were to run with the knife around my neck, I'd be concerned with it falling out....) but I figure it's easy to "rig" a rubberband or tie cord around the sheath to improve its retentiveness)....but the price is sweet, the thin S30V blade is heat treated by Paul Bos....

Yeah, I have a couple of 650's as well, but I seldom carry them. I have always liked the Mini better, enough that I wound up with 4 after I lost the first one I had. I figure I have a lifetime supply now :D . I'd like to see what Phil and Sal could cook up together, but I'm not holding my breath. As many Spike knock-offs as there are floating around (still), Mr. Boguszewski may have a bad taste in his mouth for production collaborations  .JD Spydo wrote:I also have an affinity for the Benchmade model 640, Phil Boguszewski mini Spike  . i only own one other knife other than my collection of Spyders and that's a Benchmade balisong. one of the old zinc alloy ones. it's heavy enough to kill someone with without ever even opening it.
i have been tempted to buy another benchmade but they're so **** expensive and i can't see how the extra expense (compared to spyderco) is worth it. i've also been tempted by Kershaw and will buy one, possibly a Leek (for it's clean lines) or an E.T. (just for novelty).

Right now my favorite is the Buck Mayo 172. Visually appealing, thin blade, good ergos, titan framelock. Couldn't ask for more!
Although I suspect it will be replaced when I get a sebenza...
