favorite knife besides Spyderco
I have only one knife besides Spydercos - little Moki, which I appreciate for exceptional craftsmanship and timeless design.

Ok i'll confess to liking my Boker Subcom, BM Gravitator, Minigriptilian; Ontario Knives' Hossum Retribution2, Kershaw Bump, and Al Mar MiniSere; I like the Graham Brothers Pocket Kukri and Tactical Wharncliffe knives and might get one or both in the future......but my true passion is for Spydercos! :D

I have two Elishewitz customs, a Stryker II and a Silver Fox, I also have a Jens Anso Gekko with another on the way. Besides Spyderco I have only two other production knives, a Kershaw Ricochet and a CS Voyager.

In my right hand, second one is 7" ..
But one question: I know you are aware of the law in your country ( ), but doesn't that kind of edc could get you in any kind of trouble?
Let say someone gets hurt..... Do you have to pull some strings???

My current favorite is a Coyote Brown Strider SnG. It's like a Endura on Steroids. Somewhere down the line I want a Large Classic Sebenza with Micarta Inlays.
My usual camping toys are:
Gransfors Bruks Hatchet.
Fallkniven F1.
Victorinox Trekker.
Of those 3 the Victorinox Trekker is a absolute, and it is never substituted. Prior to my Gransfors Bruks Hatchet I used a old Cold Steel LTC Kuhkri. For my Fixed Blade the Fallkniven F1 is the standard, but I have rotated a few different fixed blades through. I would really like to get one of the new Swamp Rat Bandicoot LM models. I just prefer carbon steel fixed blades.

Aloha ALL,
Well...I do like some BM creations, like the Griptillians, and that Snody Ju-Ju  ...I like the whole CS Vaquero line (Old school, AUS8), CRKT Pesh Kabz, Ontario RTAK, my custom SFB's by chaxknives, Fred Perrin Le griffe Bowie, CKE Customs, zackerty's knives, and uh...oh yeah, the Boker biscuits, and the Nealy MCS System.
Okay, I will admit to their Blue/Silver Ti-Stellar model, as well as their EFD... :)
When funds allow, I plan on getting some stuff from Ceya of course.
If for some reason I get rich, I would get some cool knife from Ed Schempp also... :D
God bless

Not so long ago I read an post on this forum that made me realy laugh :D
Someone wrote as reply on someone that had Benchmade knives,
that he was from the the "dark side".
This is a little off topic.....but
I know there is and always will be a little rivalry between BM and Spyderco.
I think they are both quallity US knives but they are just different.
I read and write on more than just one forum because I simply like more than one knife brand.
So let me please take your doubts away.......
I'm not from the dark side, altough I have quite a few BM's (most of them are)
I like knives in general.
So here is what I like and what I collect:
Benchmade, Microtech, Extrema ratio, Coldsteel, Camillus, Kershaw, MOD, SOG, Bradley, and last but not least Klotzli.
My favorite knife is the BM 73x as an series.

I am trying to spent all my possible money for :spyder: s, but somwhow the only non spyderco is the Subcom folder in AUS8 which is a part of my EDC.
I dont own any of following knives
:
some creations from Kershaw, especially Bumps.
TAK-1 from Ontario, its one superb blade for forest or camping.
Would like to have a La Griffe once, but I can afford a custom for now.
Buck makes a neat lil neck knife, black, in S30V and really affordable, but I dont remember who´s the original designer right now.
And Al Mars Eagle Talon folder (the one with 4inch blade and non sharpened swedge)
Timberline used to make the Wall Street Tactical folder, which was really nice, but I think they dont make them anymore.

My favorite knife, besides :spyder: , is the Ontario RAT folder model 1.
Flat ground 3.6 inch blade, phosfor bronze washers, absolute no blade play!
The lock-up is sharp and solid. Like all the Randall Adventure Training knives, it's a jungle proven Jeff Randall/MikePerrin design.
I't feels so good in my hand with his right sized handle design.
For the money, I think, the RAT folder is one of the best buys on the market.

Yes I did. It's another clip that I used 600 grit sandpaper on and took it down. I just like polished clips for some reason. :) . By the way it's a full size Grip.greencobra wrote:David, did you take the finish down on the clip of the Mini Grip? It looks like it with BENCHMADE still highlighted in black. Nice, I like the effect.
How can you tell I'm on without my glasses? :o
Thanks man!
