Hi KK.
Almost there, just lacks a little punch. A couple things I noticed were :
The streacking effect to the side of the "S" and the "O" are cut off abruptly. Let them fade off further, even if you have to start with a larger base image then crop in later.
The centre of the "D" is too dark in comparison to the rest of the image. Even though the effect is generated with filters (if it is the technique I am thinking of), it doesn't mean that you can't touch up these areas with some clone or copy/mirror work.
Because the font is on the thin side (nothing wrong in that), I feal that it gets a little lost in the background. Try taking a copy of the text, bringing it to the front, then adding a very slight glow around it in a lighter colour in order to pull it off the background.

Keep plugging away. Photoshop is one deep program.
