Fellow Spydernuts...

Which Spydie, in your opinion : Is the ONE?

I mean, off all the knives in the SKU, you will undoubtedly find one which you feel -- is the ultimate spydie...

To me : Endura is THE ONE...

Whosyour...the Chinook is that good, huh?

I've been thinking about buying a Chinook. Sounds like I'd better do it. I may have some questions for you...

My choice for "the one" quintessential Spydie; the one that just screams "Spyderco!"

I'd have to agree with you on that one, Jeff. The 'one' has got to be the fully serrated stainless steel police. I own that plus about 11-13 other spyderco's and must say it fits in your hand great, has a great blade, and gets lost in your pocket.

2 sides to this one...

Out in the open, it's the Delica/Endura line
For heavy use, it's the Wegner/jr...

We all start with 10 fingers. Those with Spydies have 9 to spare, Still need a thumb. Good thing I still have 8 to spare...

Tough one, really glad I don't have to limit myself to just one.

If I could only own one knife that I had to use for everything, it would be my plain edged Military.
Although if I could carry a second one for use in "civilised" company it would be my SS Delica.

Am having trouble deciding if you mean "the one Spydie" that I would choose if I could only have one, or the one that best represents what Spyderco's knives are about.

If it is the one that best represents what Spyderco knives are about, then the one I'd choose for that category is the Native FRN. (Tho I have to admit that the Endura and Delica may deserve that role.)

If I could only choose to have one Spyderco, it would be my Wegner for sure.

Can't stop without saying that maybe the Shaparia best represents what Spyderco is about. I am certain that no other company would have produced such an unusual looking knife. Spyderco is willing to take chances, to go with something unusual or odd, or whatever. That's why its my favorite manufacturer.

I'll cast my vote for the Military, because it is one of the most advanced Spydies and contains all the Spyderco firsts and innovations. For instance apart from the hole and clip, there's the nested liner, offset arc ramp, eccentric pivot and CPM-440V steel. However I think it'll be knocked off its perch by the ATR .

Alright folks ~ Here are the top contenders.. So far, we have the Military right on top with Endura *~Yeahooo!~* on the second spot followed by SS Police...

Tally (9/8/01)
Military - 5
Endura - 4
SS Police - 2
Worker - 2
Wegner - 2
Cricket - 1
Civilian - 1
