#1

Post by Mancer »

Hi

Any of you guys seen the Civilian training video by Combat Technologys?

Im most likely gonna get it as well as my Gunting tapes since Ill be carring both a Civie or Matriarch and a Gunting.

Was wondering how good the techniques and training on that tape is for the Civilian.

Many thanx

Hi,
I've viewed the Keating Civilian tape and feel it is excellent. James goes through the "peck"ing strikes, hooking, concentric methods as well as slashing, and comes up with stuff (come alongs to point of chin and groin strikes that will make you flinch!!!) that really puts the options available with the Civilian AND Matriarch in perspective. AND it is (I believe) the only tape available for the Civilian type blade.

They say there's a long tunnel with a bright light at the end. I've been there. it's just REALLY DARK!! :) LOL

Dear Knife Knut:

I am constantly researching the DVD issue for Paladin. The problem for us is that we serve a niche market. As such, the number of videos we sell is small compared to mainstream. Like anything else that's done n quantity, the more you do, the less the unit cost. Conversely, the fewer you do, the higher the unit cost. We are trying to find the happy medium that allows us a reasonable inventory level of a title (you have to pay tax on inventory, you know) while keeping prices affordable.

We haven't forgotten about you. Thanks for your patience.

Stay safe,

mike j

I have the civilian tapes and they are worth the money. I now carry a Matriarch, and a chinook.

I borrowed Ronins copy of the civy tape and it's about the scariest thing I ever saw. I'm already badgering my local dealer to get a civilian in for me. Speaking of which ronin buddy I swear I'll get that tape back to ya..
