Spyderco Forum/blade Show 2006 T-shirt Iron-on Transfer

#1

Post by bigcat »

Forum Members,

Please find attached Spyderco Forum/Blade Show 2006 T-Shirt Iron-On Transfer that I have designed for the upcoming BLADE SHOW in Atlanta, Ga. The transfer is designed using the Spyderco Critters Logo as the center piece, and is ready for the Forum Members to print out onto an 8.5 by 11 inch T-Shirt Transfer Paper, and then ironed into the front side of a T-Shirt. Centered about an inch below the neck hole makes the writting visable with the show pass around your neck.

This would make it easier for the Forum Members to locate each other as a lot of you would like to do, and give everyone a souvenir to keep even if they can't make it to the show.. There is no charge.

A special thanks to Joyce Laituri at Spyderco for her prompt approval of this project. Permission has been granted to use the Critter Logo and to post this on the Forum.

Instructions: Save the large picture to file and print it from the file for a perfect transfer. Have fun making your shirts!!!!!

IS there going to be a place to put our Forum names on this new shirt iron on? How would you know if it was the REAL Doctor Lecter without some form of idenitification? PUT me down for one. JD

It's a very nice idea, but do remember that in the past, Spyderco has been understandably reluctant to sanction the use of copyrighted material for projects like this.

So it may have Spyderco approval.

It certainly sounds that way, my bad for reading something at work and responding a couple hours later from home without re-reading the post. :o

I'm still thinking about that solution. Any suggestions would be welcome.

I hope the shirt will be a good ice-breaker for the Spyderco Forum Members.

And JD, I'm putting you down for 3, one for every day.

Thanks,

I'll be the ex-military looking guy with a big scar on the left side of my neck. I'm easy to spot :)

That's cool BIGCAT. I wear a Large/Regular in Carhartt. I like my Ts to fit just a bit loose. I have a Spyderco "All GOD's Critters" shirt in large that I got from Razorsharpknife on Ebay. Just let me know how much and where to place my order :)

KP...... Just go to wal-mart and get the transfers in the stationary department. There are two types of transfers..One for WHITE or LIGHT colored shirts..and one for DARK colored shirts....The ones for Dark colored shirts will work on both dark and white shirts and is easier to work with....Just be sure to read the instruction sheet that comes with the transfers and you should not have any trouble.

I hope this helps.

Back From The Blade Show

#17

Post by bigcat »

We made it back from The Blade Show 2006 in Atlanta. My wife and I had a great time at the show talking to Joyce and Kelly about all the new knives and meeting the formite from Calhoun, Ga.

We talked to the staff at the Sante Fe Stoneworks in the booth next to Spyderco. They said that they liked the transfer logo very much...and so much so...,that they had downloaded it had it made into a very large poster and hung it up in their home office for advertising the show.

They were glad that my wife and I had stopped at their booth and that they had gotten a chance to meet the artist that had designed the logo.

We were very impressed with their enthusiasm of the art work. Thanks Sante Fe!!! Thank you very much!!!
