I carry my Para the most except when I am in Sheepleville (it sticks up too prominently). It is a great knife, the comp lock is the best lock IMHO. If it it didn't stick out like a teenagers libido I would call it perfect.

I don't have a Para (yet), but I've been seriously thinking about getting either a Mini Manix or a Para Military. I've heard so many good things about both, but I'm torn between the two. I certainly don't mean to hijack this thread, but I would love to hear your comments when talking about the Para as to how it compares to the Mini Manix, and which you prefer and why.

Great thread, David, as the Para has been on my "serious contender for next knife" list for some time. Thanks.

Grab a Para today! :)

One of Spyderco's best, no doubt, you really can't go wrong with the Paramilitary! It is in my carry rotation, which is not that large. Though I have been carrying my ATR mostly lately, the Para still has a place, you can't beat that flat grind S30v, G-10, and compression lock, what a combination(makes me wonder how a Yojimbo would be)

Posed with it's buddy, the Caly Jr.

I love my Para and carry it almost every day. Have a Mini Manix also, but it's kind of heavy in the pocket, so I don't use it too much (but great for camping). Here's a pic of my 2 Paras, 1 slightly modified.

Is that the Sheepleville by Hand Wringer's Village or the Sheepleville across the river from Teeth Gnasher's Town?

Still carry the Para, though not as much. I've retired and slowed down a bit. I carry more of the D4's, Salt1's, UKPK's now. There will, I think always be a place for my Para, it's stronger than the above three and lighter than the Manix.

I call work Sheepleville. Actually it is anywhere I might draw undesired attention to the fact I am carrying a knife. My UKPK is my Sheepleville knife. As soon as possible it will be my Caly 3.

I don't actually have a Paramilitary, but I often carry a Persian or Endura or etc, but since I wear blue jeans almost exclusively, I keep my Kiwi in my watch pocket, and it gets about 10X the use that way. Never seen anyone more than very mildly scared of it.

Man I hope so. I've always wanted one and never had one. I have only held one in a knife store. It was sweet but I can't wait to carry it this weekend. Plus, the blade length is legal here. :)

I'm very happy with mine. It's the best EDC I've had in a LONG time. :)
