Boker with Spyder Hole

#1

Post by LukeC »

Just ran into this, thought it was worth posting. Not really my kinda knife, but it looks nice, and it good to see someone asking to use the Hole. Cool handle material and cool damascus pattern!

I personally think the knife is ugly, the bolster is way too big.

I looks very much like a Boker in the styling :D

Glad they went about it the RIGHT way.

I just had to add...

Has anyone seen the "Boker Plus" stuff. It seems it's just "Boker-labeled" copies of other folk's designs.

Uhm, Cameron, no it's not.
It was designed by us, or by people working for us.
If you would like more info, I would be happy to do this PM,
as not to discuss Boker too much on the Spydie forum.
Have a good day.
Thanks, Terry

I like it. I posted this same picture a while back, because I liked the fact that Boker asked permission, AND advertised it.

If I had more disposable income, this one would be mine

I actually like the Boker Plus line, it's similar to the Spyderco Byrd line. I didn't see any stolen designs in the line though, that's not Boker's style.

I own several Bokers(not including Chad's SF) and they're all quite nice. They're prettier than Spyders, but that's what their market desires.

Huh? I thought Spyderco does not license the round hole to other knife companies, only to custom knifemakers
Otherwise, thanks for sharing, it's an interesting knife (of course, way too high for my budget) :(

The new Boker Plus tanto folders look a bit like "something from strider (the butt) and something from CRKT (the front)", but I dont think that such a company as Boker truly is would dare producing some knock offs.
I saw and handled many Boker designs, and I think they are good, maybe just from a different kind of market, European market.

Terry, I would like to know more Boker Plus history, if you can PM me. Thanks.
