SE Byrd Finch

#1

Post by dedguy »

just recieved my first Byrd in the mail today. i think perhaps the usage of this term could prove to be a bit of a faux paux around these parts but i just can't think of any other way to describe it. it's just so **** cute. it's smaller than i expected (which is a good thing). i have a major appreciation for miniture things and i dig the **** out of this little guy. will make a killer keychain knife.

Congrats.

The byrd line continues to put out some very nice alternatives. Thanks for the pics, I espicially like the C4.

i don't exactly know why but for some reason i love playing with this thing. i'm a bit of a fidgiter and like to have something mindless to do with my hands when not working and since i got the finch it's be messing about with it. it's too small for me to open one handed normally but if i put my pinky through the included chain i can pull it open by pulling down on the chain with my pinky while pulling up on the byrd hole with index and thumb. it also has a heavy enough handle to be flicked/dropped open if you use some force.

You should try lanyards. :D

heh, i just made my first one. i don't think my big hands are up to making a lanyard i would find proportionally attractive for the Finch. i have contemplated replacing the chain with a 1" locking ring though.
