A CONTEST FOR JOHN ROW

Lots of you know John Row. He's an active forumite and knifenut extraordinaire. John's been out of action, hospitalized and critically ill in ICU. After several weeks he's been released and is on the road to recovery. Spyderco will raffle off a copy of the book THE SPYDERCO STORY-by Ken Delavigne and a C67S "R" (serrated). All proceeds go to John and his family during his convalescence. We invite you to enter as many times as you wish. Cost per each entry is $5.00. Please send check, money order, or cash made out to John or Heidi Row. The contest ends at midnight May 31st, 2001.

My prayers for Mr. Roe's recovery. Bravo for the Spydie folks to help a knife-knut in need.

Donations will be on the way.

do you guys need the cash by the 31st? I get paid on the 11th, and send it then. I think it should take about 1 week, so it should be there in time, but I can't guarantee it.

Joyce or Sal,
I noted that on the Spyderco section of BladeForums there was no post of this benefit contest for John Roe.

If I have your permission, I like to post or link the announcement on bladeforums. Perhaps there is a reason for this, if so, I understand.

It would reduce my chance of winning, but it would draw greater benifit for Mr. Roe.

Hi Seth,

The raffle was posted in the Spyderco section of Bladeforums...I'll go and check it out. Could be there have been numerous posts since and it needs to be raised to the top again.

Thanks,
Joyce

C'mon folks, let's get behind this. John and his family have been doing it tough recently and this is a great way to help them. There are over 800 people registered here now and even if we each bought only one ticket, we could give them a worthwhile helping hand.

Just wanted to say "Thank you" to Mr Glesser, Ms. Laituri , Patti at SFO and ALL of the folks at Spyderco and to all of you!
During the last 2 1/2 months the folks at Spyderco have constantly kept in touch with my wife, Heidi, for updates on my progress and to offer comfort and support!
I want to also thank all of YOU for the cards and emails that we have received. They have meant a lot.
A special thank you to Michael McClaurin - NCBlades for posting updates on this board and on BladeForum.
Most of all, I want to thank Heidi & my son Ben for being there for me.
