I notice one thing about the Starling. It seems like a very nice key chain knife at MSRP $15. This price is hard to beat.

But I wonder one thing, this Byrd knife will be produced by Spyderco. But Spyderco will put it under Byrd line. So I am curious about the production.

Would this knife produce in Japan or China? And what kind of steel will be used in this knife?

Kristi or anyone know? Please help me out.
My guess would be China, since that is where all the other byrds are from. The Starling appears to be similar to the Raven/Crow line.
First they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not stand up, because I was not a Trade Unionist.

China is correct. It is part of the byrd knife line.

When will the Starling come out to the Market? I cannot wait to get one of that.

This is the summary list of what I want:
1. ZDP Delica
2. Starling
3. G-10 Byrd Meadowlark

Can't agree more! The comp. lock is perfect for the Captain! Also, does anyone else think that the Captain should be available with a CE blade, having the serrations extend to that little secondary tip?
Ask me where I got my awesome SUPERHAWK!

More like Mid-Cal now
