just got a wegner jr!

#1

Post by 5150 »

just got a plain edge numbered wegner jr. in mint condition! :D it is my new favorite knife, hands down. :D i am a fan of the full size wegner, but find it a little too big for edc. guess what? i'm thinking that's why the spydie factory churned out some smaller ones. perfect handle for my hand, as far as smaller knives go, a useful shaped blade and built rock solid and smooth.
anyone know how long they were made or anything else regards this knife?
any other wegner jr. fans out there?

seriously sorry i don't have any pics dudes. :o

Ohhh ya. Another really nice knife. Fits the hand oh so well - easy open and easy close. Not klunky or bulky. It is my dresss up carry knife. You will love it - congradulations.

The Wegner junior is my all time favorite Spydie. I have two and I need more. Can you say sprint run in carbon fiber?!

Aloha 5150,

That is a common problem amongst Spyderco's. For example, I was not a fan of the Dodo until I was able to handle one. I ended up buying it of course! ;)

Cripes, I hope this will not be the case with my Lava! :(

God bless and uh, I think it's best TO forget Outlaw...well, sort of. :p :D

daywalker: don't sweat it regards your lava man! it's gonna sweep people off their feet! ;)
****, i wish someone would chime in with respects to how long these jr.'s were manufactured. :o :)

5150,
Sorry don't have any production dates for you. Believe it or not, I wasn't "into" the design when it was in production. Thought it was too "rounded"
Back then I carried a BM 975 / Emerson CQC-7. Not really sure what I was thinking... :o

Looking at the 6 :spyder: Wegner boxes I have, only 1 has a date. It's for a C48GPS, 6/22/01. So I'm guessing the production run started/stopped somewhere in late 90's for the C49.
