Special edition Para

#1

Post by Texas guy »

I have been sorely tempted to buy a CF Military, but just can't bring myself to buy a knife I know I wouldn't carry (I don't collect, I use). But I would jump all over a carbon fiber Para like nobodys business. Has Sal or anybody else mentioned a special edition Para? Any plans on releasing a CF Para, or maybe a ZDP Para? Would yall be interested?

Hey Axlis, I just ordered a blue Dodo PE to carry with my Para  I know that you are a big proponent of the Para/Dodo combo, I'm about to join the club.

I think a CF Para is just one of those knives I wouldn't even have to think over or budget in, I would just put it at the top of the list and order that sucker. I know CF looks really cool, but does it hold up has well as the G10? Even if, I would have Different Para's for different occasions.

A CF Para in ZDP? I'll buy it in a second. But, making it with a back lock so it can be utilized by us left-handers would really sweeten the pie.....

I would just be happy with a new color of G10 on the Para. Not really into the new CF, and ZDP is nice...but the price will go threw the roof.

Blue or Green G10... :)

I've been holding off buying a Para for ages. Grippy CF or ZDP (both even!) and I'd be all over it.

Man-o-man, a CF Para-Military? This must be another "what would a perfect knife be like" thread. Your minds are working well tonight. Buying one would be about the easiest thing I've ever been talked into.

A foreign steel like ZDP-189 is very unlikely for a US model. IMO you'd have a better chance asking for S90V or 125V.

I'd would be willing to pay $135 - $145 for a special edition Para, but it would have to have tip up carry!

I would LOVE to see a Para inn CF!! I am so there!! I was thinking last night, I would like to see a CF & ZDP Sprint run. Anyone else? ZDP & CF Para Millie & Millie?? CF Calypso, Jr.?? What do ya think? I know, I know, more expensive, but I think well worth it! PS; I WILL be using my CF Military!!

Im pumped to read that alot of you would support the idea of a CF Para, or even a CF Para with ZDP blade  .

I am intereseted to see if Sal drops a message here regarding if he has any plans/thoughts on a special edition Para.

It seems like zdp is tough enough to be used on a tactical blade, so a zdp cf para would hit the spot. After zdp, s30v seems to have much better toughness than s90v, not sure about the 125 though.

Fair enough. Is it the S125V that can be hardened higher, like ZDP? I think that's what the ZDP freaks are after really-the increased hardness.
