New Gunting

#1

Post by fannin »

Well I just got my new gunting. Very nice, solid knife. I can't wait to get the proper instruction for it. I don't open it as quickly as my endura/delica. There was a difference from what I expected. The clip on the back is black instead of all shiny. At the tip of the kinetic point there is the #757. These are fine as I like black better anyway. Great knife alltogether. How's everyone else liking their's?

Fannin,
Glad you like your new gunting as much as I like mine. In my opinion, this is the best self-defense tool/knife on the market. I wonder if Spyderco is selling the black spoon clip for those who want to replace the shiny, silver clip, like I have on my gunting. Sal, any info on availability and price?

A question to you Fanin, when you say you cant wait to get the instruction for it, what instructions are you talking about, what I mean is Im also interested in getting some for of instruction when I purchase my Gunting, but as of yet theres not much Ive come across in the way of information on the use of Yawara sticks/short sticks.
If you could tell me what you intend on getting Id most appreciate it.

Many thanx

I'm going to the Bram Frank seminar at SFO next month to get it straight from the man. I hear that he's also made some instructional videos.

Using the GUNTING is not rocket science..but its really fun..its based on Gross motor skills..
Yup I have a video tape series all done on how to use it..OK almost on how to use it.. I don't show cutting in the first 4 volumes...

The GUNTING is going to be the GLOCK of the knife world...its an MBC tool for sure with the ability to go from Impact to Edged in a split second.."BAM" its there...

Its the only SPYDERCO that comes ONLY as an impact tool..the CRMIPT..or as a trainer DRONE -impact tool..
yup three flavors depending on your need..

Fanin: glad you're coming out..
and you have a numbered GUNTING, with one of the NEW Black clips...very very cool...
think TOMAHAWK...and impact is EASY..Gail found out..she almost ripped my thumb out..after a few minutes of trainig instruction...
see you @ SFO!!!

hm I'm really excited about coming out to SPYDERCO..
