See what youve made me do now?, now that you ask a question like that, I just have to reply hehe.

Ok well Im not a spyderco owner, as yet.
But will be soon enough, Ill either get a Civilian or a Matriarch.
Thing that got me interested was that I had some blunt Gerbers, ordered the sharp maker and saw all em goodies online..nuff said

My first Spyderco was a Sharpmaker! I attended a woodworking show in approx. 1977-78 and Sal had a table with products, he requested anyone with pocket knife let him use it to demo new sharpener. I volunteered my Buck folder and went home with Sharpmaker! I do not remember if Sal had knives at show.

The Buck knife is history however, I still have the Sharpmaker.

Hey FK, tell me, does that sharpmaker work well and is it easy for a novice to use?, also the grinding rods(stones), do they wear out fairly quickly or do they last cause Ive ordered my sharpmaker but Im still looking for someone in Port Elizabeth in South Africa who have the stone kits for the sharp maker.

Many thanx

Was always intriqued with Spydercos but never could break away from my usual knives. Till last year when I saw a Wayne Goddard Clipt It at the unbelievable price of $39.00 at the Fort Lewis Washington Exchange. Now I wonder how I ever lived without it.

I have been collecting knives (fixed blade and folders) After looking for a SOG which I liked at that time I say the Spyderco transparent display with a good group of beauties going from the Cricket down to a Catcherman. I decided to try them because of their ease of action with one hand. I got the Delica all stainless and keep it as my favorite. Now I own 5 Spydercos and other brands as well. But between U and Me my everyday companion is a Spyderco. Feels good to have such a company.
