It all started with a Chinook II. It's been all down hill from there. (From my wallets view) :D

Let him smash into your flesh and you fracture his bones;
Let him fracture your bones and you take his life!

My first was a CE Endura, but the sentamentality prize goes to my little ol' PE Delica. That knife has gone EVERYWHERE.

My green handled, fully serrated, integral clipped Endura. (C10SGR)

It was my first Spydie, purchased back in '95. After several years of EDC, I traded it to a friend, who several years later traded it back to me. Once he actually had to use it to defend himself, so the knife has some.... ah.... "history" to it!

You know what they say, set something free & if it returns to ya..... :o
Anyway, it's my "Most Sentimental Spydie" :p

The Harpy...

Post by Hannibal Lecter »

Dear Friends,

The Spyderco Harpy first captured my heart, then brought me to Spyderco and ultimately here to the forums. It has been my favorite since I obtained my first one, and shall likely always be my favorite for the forseeable future.

My first :spyder: has long since been traded. As for most sentimental, that would be either be my first Gunting, or the Khalsa I received from a dear friend.

My favorite is an entirely different story, and one which really doesn't need to be repeated yet again ;)

It's kinda hard to pick one though.

Kinda funny how the first :spyder: that means something sets your standards

for all else to follow.

For me it was a SS PE Worker back around 88-89 that was the one

Aloha ALL,

Welp...for me it'd have to be the 1stGen Dragonfly along with the likes of the C07, Integrated Clip FRN C10&11's, as well as the C01 PE. However...

:spyder: 's I have received in trades or "just because" from my Forum brothers, fall into this category as well. ;)

God bless ;)

for me it's definitely this one, Almite SE Cricket... was my first or second spyder but it has seen a lot more than every other. it even has the scars on the clip of the time I got hit by a motorcycle while rollerskating, the poor little thing was clipped to my shorts and felt the asphalt. now retired :)

My first.........a SE Co-pilot. Has not been carried for years, but still admired regularly.

The ones with the most sentimental value would be...

A PE Rescue and PE Mariner, both gifts from Sal.
The Schempp Persian from the contest earlier this year.
A GIN-1 Native, a gift from a very good friend.

My son was born in June of 1996. I carried a new Delica for the day of his birth, and put it away in a safe the next day. It is one of the old plastic clip models. I will give it to him when he is older, and can keep it safe himself. :)

;) My SS SE Delica. Its been with me for 12 years, until lately. Now I EDC a SS PE Caly Jr. The reason is because I used my Delica to cut through a ankle monitor on a juvenile on probation. Well believe it or not there was a steel strap under the plastic, and the Delica cut straight through it, but dulled some of the serrations. But after a good sharpening the serrations are good as new. After that I figured I had put it away for a while instead of really damaging a good friend thats been through alot with me, and for a long time ,and has accepted and triumphed over every challenge along the way. :)

:spyder: Chinook, I know it wasn't my brightest moment  with my Delica, but at the time there was no other means of taking the monitor off. Once the Judge says "It will be removed"! well... it better be removed. I had no idea there was a steel strap in the thing  , and the first time I had to remove one. Well, the SS Delica performed and lived up to the reputation of Spyderco :D and living proof of the durabilty of these little giants. Believe me after that bone headed experience...I ask then cut. :)
