Definitely different meanings 30 years later, huh? Time flies.

I’ve been enjoying Venom’s new Into Oblivion album at work today - literally all killer, no filler. Not sure which song is my top pick yet (I like to stew on that for a few weeks first) but there’s some absolute rockers in there. It’s a bit like if Cancer Bats and Down decided to do a homage to Venom album. Fantastic stuff.

Ever wonder how all these videos actually work ?
Oddly enough it's all due to open source software, and you can thank people like these:

For me (and only speaking for myself) personally, my favorite music decades are in the following order:

1970s
1960s
1980s
1990s

IMO, the '90s was the last decade that had a distinctive musical sound/era that defined it. After that, music went downhill fast. Again, IMO.

HOR or HOER Berlin.

I don't have as lot of information on this site but it seems like they broadcast DJ's that produce music 6 days a week. They have taped 4000 DJ sets.

Scroll down for a list of DJs

They are on YouTube too

Nick Gilder - Hot Child in the City

This song started playing on the radio in the fall of 1978, when I was just starting 10th grade. I was certain that the singer was a woman. In fact, I could have swore I'd once heard a radio DJ identify the singer as 'Nikki Gilder'. Or that's how I heard it, anyway. Back then, I never saw Nick Gilder in any music videos, and never saw any album cover with him on it.

At the time, I took the song to have an almost feminist tone to it. It does bring back memories of the early part of that school year, because it played on the radio a lot during that time period

To this day, I have never heard another man sing in a voice that I would ever mistake for a woman's voice, like Nick Gilder's.

One of my favorite albums for quite some time in the late 2000's/early 2010's. Used to love get amped up going to shows at a local dive bar.
