2017 Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin. Perfect for exploring the winding gravel roads and fire trails of my local forests east of Melbourne Australia. However, it is a bit porky for the real technical 4x4 tracks and mud holes. I bought it new 9 years ago, and is now on 40000 problem free kms. More than half of this on dirt.

Very cool. I so want a bike again. Haven’t had one in 25 years, and it was a Kawasaki KDX200. I’d like to have one of the Hondas like the NX500 or Transalp. I really dig the Trail125, though I couldn’t ride that one on the interstate to work. But it would let me self-shuttle down river solo canoe trips (drop bike at takeout, drive truck to launch, enjoy canoe down river, chain up canoe at takeout, drive bike to launch, load on truck, drive truck to takeout, load canoe on truck and go home).

An old and trustworthy mate: tasman spyderedge.

I really love the salt series. Most of all these old models with the ergos of the salt 1. They are (to me) the paradigm of comfortable handle and perfect handle/blade lenght ratio.
Hard to find new adquisitions to the collection but I'm increasing it little by little.

Re: What Spyderco is in your pocket today??
Truth be told, my BM 940 found its way into my office jeans a week or so ago, and it stuck around (for now). But that's a topic for the OT section.
Thankfully life isn't all work, and the trusty Endura TRL is still clipped to my outdoor pants.
This weekend I had access to a small row-boat so I could get off the surf and out on the fjord for a change.
The boat was only rated for one person, so with the ambition of maneuvering the thing around with both me and my son onboard, a compact carry was called for.

So just like the perpetual benchwarmer 940 finding its way into my pocket recently, some under appreciated Spyderco's got some well deserved carry time. Intended to fix the Swick 6 to my PFD, but there weren't any dependable attachment points so it stayed in the backpack. Not in this picture is the Siren in my RFP that also went on its first outing in quite a while.
The Swick wasn't accessible enough to see any use, but the Siren performed very well and I was again reminded why it's hard to flip some knives even if the spend too much of their time in the drawer.
I still haven't replaced my N5 salt that I gave away last summer, and this is intentional even though I dearly miss it. Its absence forces me to look at other options. And I know for a fact that I would have defaulted to the N5 this weekend if it was still around.
A mainstay in my fishing backpack is the SOG Aegis MT. The model name had totally escaped me, so I had to look it up. In the process I noticed it seems to be disco'ed already.
That's kind of sad. It's a very nice companion tool for fishing, especially for inland fishing accessed by foot, where size and weight matters. It's not perfect, and it's been a plan of mine since I got it to replace the rather impractical and always redundant knife blade with a pair of SAK scissors, but I've yet to find a suitable donor.

Thanks everyone! I had two visits this morning and doctors want to shoot for a release tomorrow. I have to be honest this procedure has been more detailed than I imagined. Great staff nurse got my DFY Salt out of my backpack !

In my pocket for the last 10 days or so... Endela K390. This is just a superb knife. Light... FRN feels great... perfect size...back lock works smoothly and not stiff at all.... blade is exceptional. Can't say enough good about this knife.
