Thanks. The fixed blade SOCP has both edges sharpened.

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
OK! That fixed blade could be a nice addition to my collection.
I am at a total stalemate. I do not want to unbox everything in my new apartment to get at my knives. I like to see what I have before I order. Filing in gaps is OK - but what are my gaps?
I took possession of my new 3Br apartment around January 17th, movers brought all of the boxes in around the 20th, and I have been hesitant to unbox everything. I am paying $2,000+ per month and am thinking I better find something cheaper even if it means looking in another state. I think that I need a new apartment. Something cheaper. I am looking at alternatives.
If I found a tech support job making $40k/yr I'd be fine and stay where I am. The job market is a hassle.

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
I think that I prefer the solid lockup of the Spyderco Native Chief back lock. I'll keep looking at this new ZT. Blade profiles are close.Naperville wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2026 7:07 pmI usually only buy Cold Steel and Hinderer folders if I do not buy Spyderco folders.
Last week I went old school and bought a 0203CF ZT in M390 with a DuraLock. I like the full liners. The lock is OK, I think that I need to break it in. I can open it without touching the lock with wrist action. The steel is fine. I was primarily after the blade and handle patterns. Nice knife. I like the Spyderco Native Chief just as much, just need to work on getting them to pop open.

Hey Makunochimaster,
That last, or most recent, knife you posted photos of looks like a Harsey [air] Ragner.
What exactly is it? If you don't mind
u.w.

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
Got some stuff from my old home up north. 20 year old Cadet from when they made them in red, green, etc., and 40+ year old Rambler I got from my dad.

My Winkler has been my EDC on this trip. Might actually be visiting their shop sometime soon to check out some of their other models.

I'll have some more interesting pictures to share of it next week I'm sure. Taking it backpacking shortly.
I got real excited when I came across an old spyderco box, thinking my long lost cpmd2 Military 1 may be in there. Alas, it was empty. Still a neat relic, a first run Tasman Salt box from when the salt line had just launched:

Came across some old product guides from the 2006-2012 range too....those were fun to browse. May post some photos later.

Re: What "Other" is in your pocket???
Not quite in my belt just yet, but no longer in the mail either, so it's getting close

Helle Nordlys FG, a 4.8" full tang knife with 2.1mm blade stock and a high flat grind.
Weight incl. leather sheath: 188g/6.6oz.
I think this will be an interesting acquaintance.
If this one survives my woods use, I'm quite sure the Chap XL will be perfectly stout enough for folding knife tasks. Wouldn't you agree, @Wartstein ?

Did not know it exists, was just aware of the scandi version (which has also not a too thick blade stock already with its 3mm).
Really curious how it will work for you!
Are you planning on using it for each and every outdoor task "without merci" or will it somewhat be a "special use case" knife?
