Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2026 Report
Re: Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2026 Report
Why is the blade steel upside down?
Re: Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2026 Report
That is an Ai generated image.
Re: Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2026 Report
Have to say though, if it ends up looking similar to that without the AI garbage, it will be a pretty cool looking knife!
I had a Finch Knives Harvester that gives those vibes and always loved the colorway.

I don't want to hear about the action of your knife - Rick
Re: Spyderco Amsterdam Meet 2026 Report
THANK YOU so very much !
Although I am surprised that it isn't contoured (has flat scales ) that might make it OK for my tastes .
e.g.
Though I love to look at the Dark Green color on the top Dragonfly the other two (G-10 with exsposed liners works better for me in hand . Is a little more square cornered and no swoopy finger groove .

All AI based off the teaser, but should give us an idea until it’s actually released.

No photos of any knives are allowed at the meet. Only the photos Spyderco allows Wouter to take.BeggarSo wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2026 8:18 amSo no pictures of the actual knife allowed?Paul Ardbeg wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2026 2:12 amIt was a really nice surprise seeing the 50th anniversary Native at the AMS meetWilliamMunny wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2026 7:13 pmAll AI based off the teaser, but should give an idea.

We did get one preview shot of the 50th Anniversary knife from this years meet.
Mr Blonde wrote: ↑Sun Mar 08, 2026 7:32 amI could only show this teaser for now. Many already surmised from the 2026 catalog that it was going to be a Native 5, but here’s a first look at the bolster. Once this design is officially unveiled, I can share more photos of this production sample, which will see some minor refinements before actual production.

No, generally not of prototypes. This was just a fun experiment with AI using the known photo.BeggarSo wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2026 8:18 amSo no pictures of the actual knife allowed?Paul Ardbeg wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2026 2:12 amIt was a really nice surprise seeing the 50th anniversary Native at the AMS meetWilliamMunny wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2026 7:13 pmAll AI based off the teaser, but should give an idea.

That is an interesting AI experiment, but could you alter these images and remove or change the text included in these images? I would not want to have people thinking it was either a photo I took or an 'official' spyderco design production sample. Thanks!WilliamMunny wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2026 7:13 pmAll AI based off the teaser, but should give us an idea until it’s actually released.

That is correct, Spyderco will do a formal 'unveiling' first, once it is ready to be presented.BeggarSo wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2026 8:18 amSo no pictures of the actual knife allowed?Paul Ardbeg wrote: ↑Sun Mar 22, 2026 2:12 amIt was a really nice surprise seeing the 50th anniversary Native at the AMS meetWilliamMunny wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2026 7:13 pmAll AI based off the teaser, but should give an idea.

Hoping for a hint of red at the lanyard tube end for a Tequila Sunrise effect.

I am definitely down for one of the Spyderco folders with a full liner. I prefer the heft of a folder with a full liner.
