Lol gotta get a Gooney!
Hey Sal maybe that should be a slogan for advertisement something like
Spydercos Byrd Knives
"Gotta get a Gooney" Birds not invited.
Byrd Gooney

Re: Byrd Gooney
That's disappointing after it was advertised as being linerless. I've almost pulled the trigger on a Gooney a few times, and now I'm glad I didn't.
Re: Byrd Gooney
And I’ve seen some serrated versions around supposedly available as well.
Got one incoming, Fingers Crossed…
That’s gonna be a real ripper with serrations.
Thanks again Sal for the concept.

It's just one guys opinion, but I luv full steel or titanium liners in folders. Nested liners are OK, they don't bug me.
I like the heft and strength of a folder with full liners.

Re: Byrd Gooney
I agree with the heft and durability of liners. To be fair, if done properly, linerless knives are great. My Native 5 LW has become my favorite mid-size EDC, in large part because it is lightweight AND sturdy. The knife I was most disappointed with was a Bugout. It was linerless and seemed to hold up fine, but it felt like a cheap plastic toy--actually, it flexed a lot more than any knife I've ever owned, regardless of price.
As for the Gooney, I waited until the SE version launched. I just ordered one and am looking forward to it.
