Heck yeah! I can see why that is a favorite of yours. My next Spydie is most likely going to be a PM2. Not sure when it'll happen or which variant I'll go with. Already have the Crucarta, s90v DLT exclusive, and 204p REC exclusive. Possibly the Spy 27. I have a Native 5 in Spy27 and I'm pretty impressed with the steel. Or possibly the Salt. So hard to decide

I like SPY27 , have the Native 5 lwt and the Manix XL . I like the PM2 and have found the teal S90V at a decent price but know for me it would be a scale mod . So on the fence a bit , since waiting for the Manix bumblebee versions to appear . Lefty Military 2 is a must too . DanPacu0420 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 30, 2026 10:25 amHeck yeah! Yes, I have the Spy27 Native 5, and it's a great steel. I put it up against the 15v Para with some wood carving. I have to say the Spy27 seemed to hold it's edge almost as well as 15v. Now some of that could be due to edge geometry, but it still impressed me. It can get stupid sharp too. Magnacut is always an option too, lol!Manixguy@1994 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 30, 2026 10:48 amI like SPY27 , have the Native 5 lwt and the Manix XL . I have two of this little guys bigger brothers headed here this next early week. I like the little Manix 2 enough, but it's C95 sized bigger brother all dressed up in the rough textured all black Bumblebee scales and the Trench Coat blade is a real favorite around here...

That would be a favorite of mine too. Haven't handled the XL yet. Love the regular Manix 2. But I don't have the largest hands, so I might not like XL. Same reason I haven't bought a Military. I have a Resilience and it's a little on the large side.Jeb wrote: ↑Sat Jan 31, 2026 4:15 amI have two of this little guys bigger brothers headed here this next early week. These two are for sure to favorites of mine right now. Now if we can just get this new 5" knife in these scales, coated and some upgraded steel please lol...

Here is one I hit the hone, tossed in a Titanium ball cage and thrower one of my new tail ropes I made just for it.

Love the lanyard. Lol! I have found that I'm terrible at knot tying and making lanyards. Whats funny is I'm a fisherman and only know 2 knots. (one of which I always have to relearn) just enough to get by. Tried lanyards several times and failed miserably. I really like the look. Maybe I'll have another go at it.Jeb wrote: ↑Tue Feb 03, 2026 3:23 amThese two are for sure to favorites of mine right now. Re: Show your favorite Spydercos
Well there was a guy that was on here a few months ago that wanted one to replace the one that came on his Spyderco, it was an older knife. Where lots of places that braid these really mess up is they take the cords out of the center of the paracord.
Then they braid them up. It makes them a lot easier to tie up I am sure, but one that you might actually edc and use a lot, those don't last any time before they Frey and fall apart.
That was what this guy had on his Spyderco and he wanted a replacement. He mentioned the same thing about not being able to tie one. So I offered to make him one and send it to him.
Let him pick the color and if he wanted a Titanium bug on it or not and how long. Same offer to you man, I would be proud to make you one if you like?
I have a few colors and I still have a few bugs that I can polish if you want one or two of them. I can leave them polished Shiney, or I can flame them from a yellowish gold color, or a darker more blueish hue, it would be your call completely.
So you just tell me? I will say on the color, I have found this desert camo pattern color I have been making the last few months just flat out looks great with whatever color the knife is and what you may be wearing for the day. So keep this color in mind.
Now the guys and girls I find most wanting a different color has been their school colors or favorite team colors, which if I have it doesn't matter to me. I can even braid up two different colors for school and/or team favorites if I have what you like.
Something else I have been doing here lately is putting a lanyard on my different key rings, I have these on all my trucks and equipment that I have keys for. So you want one of those let me know as well...
The lanyard is not for everyone but those of us that grew up with them, before the killer pocket clip, thumbhole and/or thumb studs; the lanyards are a must have for us lol.
I just started making these from leather straps years ago, then paracord hit the market and these things last forever now, least the ones I make. They stand up to lots of use with all the paracord used and the braid pulled tight as I can tie them.
I have them that have been used hard and in really nasty environments and they are still good to go. So you say the word on one, how long, if you want a bug or two and what color of them, what color or colors of paracord and we can proceed if you like.
I like to fish too and I have an app on my phone that refreshes my memory on a knot if I forget how to make them. I actually love all the knots and lines that we use as much as I do the fishing lol...
Check this app out for knots... this is a great app if you like to see how they are made. It has the diagram of them in a break down, and a hyperlink that shows an animation of each knot...
