I would be interested in a 3” one, given it comes with a 3 mm blade stock or even less.

Re: Bodacious
This would be very popular, and could be done if done with a compression lock, in a way that keeps the edge far enough away from the opening. Or, give it an 'over the top' button still hidden in the liner to give access to the full edge, but still have it hidden in the grip.
If they did this, and prototyped it w/ a stonger self-close, it could be the greatest EDC knife ever made, since it would have a more efficent edge length and solve everyone's qualms with the compression lock. Something like that still feels really far off, but something to shoot for.

It would be a cool knife, small but with the same or more cutting edge than a Manix. I am a huge fan of my Bodacious.Red Leader wrote: ↑Thu Jan 29, 2026 4:26 pmThis would be very popular, and could be done if done with a compression lock, in a way that keeps the edge far enough away from the opening. Re: Bodacious
Yep, would pack a lot of punch. Same with the Lil' Temperance design as well. My main carry is a PM2 Salt, but the idea of a non-choil knife is very enticing. The Sliverax is also special in that regard, in that it packs a HUGE edge for its size, and with how narrow the handle is, it really tucks in the Spydie hole and makes the whole package a lot slimmer and easier in the pocket than many models. I love the Manix family, but with how tall it is, it takes up so much real estate in the pocket. I don't mind that as much since I don't really put a lot of things in the bottom of my pockets, but I get the critique from others, and any design that strives to be efficient, I can acknowledge.WilliamMunny wrote: ↑Thu Jan 29, 2026 5:10 pmIt would be a cool knife, small but with the same or more cutting edge than a Manix. I don't yet have a Bodacious, but have admired them many a time. I came very close to picking one up at the Seconds Sale, and I'm thinking this year it might have to happen. I'd like to pick one up to mod. I'm definitely hoping for some interesting versions to come out this year that may increase my exposure to the model. I don't prefer the flat, non-textured scales, but I would make new scales anyway, so no problem there.

You definitely need one. Smooth scales don’t bother me too much but a little texture would have been nice.Red Leader wrote: ↑Thu Jan 29, 2026 5:28 pmYep, would pack a lot of punch. Re: Bodacious
I've heard from one guy who participated, that at 2025 Amsterdam meet Spyderco had Lil' Bodacious prototype with Parata lock.
BTW... Someone have mentioned Lil Temperance 3?

Current collection: Lil Temperance G10, Shaman, Lil Native, Massad Ayoob cruwear, Smock, Street Beat, Street Bowie, Para 3, PM2 purple G10 cruwear, Canis, Rhino, Endura 4 K390, Watu, Kapara, Amalgam, Sliverax, Police 4 se K390, Police 4 pe K390, Khukuri, Barong, Ulize, Microjimbo, Smock M4, Lil Temperance 3 K390, Bodacious PE S30V, Lil' Temperance 3 SE, JD Smith PE ATS-34, Sage 6 S30V, Native Chief cruwear.
Re: Bodacious
The Bodacious is why I don't own a Lil Temp 3, I had been asking for a larger version and then the Bodacious came out and satisfied that urge.
There's a thread somewhere about a no-choil Native 5 and I think a smaller Bodacious is the obvious answer to that.

Re: Bodacious
You are correct. Spyderco does have a "Lil Bodacious" prototype with a stop lock.
If I'm being honest though, it was only a "Bodacious" by name. The prototype could have been more appropriately called the "Lil Manix" because it had a choil, a stop lock, and in general it was difficult to see the lineage from the Bodacious at all.
Re: Bodacious
For me, LT3 has more comfortable handle and CL is thicker.
Bodacious because scales, has this feel like you don't have for example katana koshirae ready to use, but shirasaya variant. LT3 is in every variant koshirae - ready for job.
@Mushroom Lil Bodacious just could have button CL, no choil, and maybe more compact handle than LT3. That would be great. And please, no polished flat scales. Spyderco in 2017 released Manix 2 with back lock, no liners, it had very fine facture on G10, like paper micarta.
Stop lock is cool, I might buy Parata if there will be chance, but be honest. It's complicated lock, probably expensive to make, hard to service on your own.
There is also Super lock by Snecx, free to use. It's solid thing.

Re: Bodacious
On the other forum, Chronovore posted a photo of a modded Lil' Native. It immediately made me think of a Lil' Bodacious in that size. I like my Lil' Native and would expect a similarly sized Lil' Bodacious to also be a cool knife.
