While I actually prefer a straighter (and longer) cutting edge, I still really love the Manix platform and know I'll always need one in my life.

And I am very lucky in actually owning the for my very best variant out there (at least until we'll perhaps finally see an ffg SE... :eye-roll ;) ):

The REX45 LW.

Top three going by pocket-time (update October 25):
- EDC: Endela SE (K390). Endela SE (VG10), Manix 2 LW (REX45)
- Mountains/outdoors: Pac.Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Salt 2 SE (LC200N), Pac.Salt 1 SE (H1)

Thanks Dan! They are very common in that area, so pretty much every time I will see a few.

:clinking-mugs To me this exact Endura is the best plain edge folder I have ever tried personally.

Here is an old pic of mine (assisting during a lunchbreak on a hike).

One thing I love is the "double used look" this blade develops:
"Scratch pattern" on the soft SUS410, patina on the lower HAP40 portion (can be seen quite well in the pic)

I love the HAP40 Seki models too. Just amazing knives.

I found a retailer with some Delicas still in stock and I'll probably end up with one soon.

Very nice!

Yes, to me the best folders when it comes to plain edge!
Alongside my HAP40 Endura I also have a Stretch 1 in that steel.

BentoBoxShop still has HAP 40 versions of Endura, Delica and Dragonfly in stock for really good prices as well as the Stretch 1 and the Meerkat for clearly more bucks (the HAP40 Stretch 1 would still really be worth it for me if did not own one already).

Small Saturday. Dragonfly was on board to catch this fail. At least it was only a cigarillo.

Nice, you still have your box! That’s the only other Remote Release I’ve seen posted since I joined. I got mine at geology field camp in Taos, NM summer 1998.

Thanks, Woodpuppy. Yours look to be in great condition too!

Those days back in the 90s, Spyderco knives came in those small fold-up boxes in a variety of colors like blue, red & black :smlling-eyes
