Late to the Smock party with the Cruwear/satin aluminium sprint.

I finally succumbed to temptation and acquired my first Smock, the Cruwear/satin aluminium dealer exclusive.

Its ergonomics are waaaay better (for me) than I had seen reported, and the feel in hand is moderately weighty but very pleasant, and the quality is exceptional. I’ve really liked Cruwear/Zwear/pd-1 ever since the pd-1 mule was released.

It’s also fun to fidget with, too, which is good news 6 weeks into a knee replacement….

I’m impressed.

Uh oh! :grin-smiling-eyes

I have a Smock coming with carbon fibre scales in S30V. I almost ordered the Cruwear, but I'm a sucker for carbon fibre. ;)

ahaha I am laughing at myself here .
a year ago (or has it been two years now ??? Ah Oh ! )
I had just aquired some knives that totally turned my crank , could not imagine anything else I would ever want other than a custom that I would design but would be unwilling to spend the $1000 or much more THAT WOULD TAKE .

So when I unexpecedly came into a tiny windfall I cavalierly bought a Smock and obnoxiously said in my review that . . . because I am a thin blade snob . . . that I had always said the Smock would be "The Last Knife I Would Ever Buy " because it is so thick alllll the way down to the tip end of the spine . Then proceeded to buy the knife .

I still have it . Will never grind it thin . It is kind of a pure collectable (not a user ) for me.

So , yeah , I was late to the party as well . It was " The last knife I would buy " . :squinting-tongue
sorry :-||
maybe forget you ever read that . :purple-devil :pleading :police :bomb :collision
