Throwback Thursday

#1

Post by da1cyclist »

Picked this up last year on marketplace from what turned out to be an old cowboy / rodeo rider from Wyoming. With shipping down to me in CO, I’m sure I paid under $50. It came with the original box and paperwork which was a nice surprise, even with them reeking of tobacco smoke. Definitely have not seen any other deals like this pop up since then.

The most amazing part to me is how good the quality is for a “vintage” knife. The action is smooth and the PRCA logo is so crisp. @sal any info about Spyderco’s relationship with the PRCA back in the day? I couldn’t find too much out there about it.

I couldn’t get anything out of the cowboy on the significance of the date engraved on the clip (maybe the date when he got/won the knife?)

You might want to post here instead, in the "official" Throwback thursday carry thread.
