Hi Folks- Long time lurker, first time poster- figured at this point I’d jump in:

Spyderco Subvert and my wife bought me a Caribbean at the HQ during an August trip to Denver. Glad to be here.

For me it's either the 15V military 2 or the SPY27 bodacious. If the bodacious was slightly longer there would be no contest, as I prefer larger blades. If the steel in the bod was more extreme it would probably also win, so fingers crossed for magnamax or being able to score the s90v
Thats my hope as well. Magnamax Bodacious or bust! (Okay okay, a 15V one would be good too)
Yah, I'd also "settle" for 15V 😬

One Eyed Jack was this year If I'm not mistaken. But a few days before Christmas came the Fluted Ti N5 I've been chasing for a few years gives it GREAT competition !
:respect In the collection :respect : Lots of different steels, in lots of different (and same) Spydercos.

I bought quite a few Spyderco Native Chiefs. But another favorite of mine is the Enuff 2, in K390. I just ordered a third one.

I think this was my only 2025 pick-up. So by default, my favorite. It is pretty fantastic!

Haha, well, it dawned on me the other day that after Sal had mentioned that there are two more unannounced Bodacious models in the works, that while everyone was ablaze with excitement about what new interesting 2 versions may be coming out (an exclusive, Salt, 15V, etc), me included, it could also simply include a LW BD1N version which to me isn’t nearly as exciting.

I think a 15V version could be as exciting, if not moreso, than the 15V Shaman. I’d probably end up getting two.

On the other hand, making contoured FRN handles shouldn't require more work than flat FRN, so maybe we could get a more comfortable handle to swap other steel blades into :D

Hasn't there already been a 15V Shaman, or am I imagining things??

Thanks Dan! I thought so, but then I was thinking...I haven't really seen any posted on the forum and questioned myself.

It is difficult to determine my favorite...
But the Balance is the biggest surprise, ever though the size is small.
An excellent knife in a convenient package!

Hands down my Green Knifeworks 204P Manix 2, and I’m about a 99% sure I got the very last one! ;)

Spyderco knife of the year for me is the Dyad Jr. Nice slicey PE blade for fine cuts and the serrated blade for more heavy duty cutting. I carry it almost daily. I liked it so much I bought 2 more for Christmas gifts.
It rains rust in Hawaii.

THE TRIO : I had them all with me today and worked all of them off and on all day . THE TRIO = M4 Tenacious blade swapped to black handle (all three have been) . . . then Same knife again with blade upper half cut away for thinner blade / kept the Spyie Hole ; is better for cutting curves . . . then Same knife again with blade cut short like a Micro Jimbo .
...

I'd really like to see a pic of your trio... :smirk
Finally I may be able to accommodate your request .
Had a coworker take an image on his big boy device . . . keep your fingers crossed :

Image

yeah so no time to type (I'm at work).
The Trio is the three Tenacious top middle. (M4 into Black handled G-10 knives ) .
The rest are variations on the theme that I can elaborate on this evening .
The Sirens are the blade swaped S90V into coarse G-10
UPDATE AFTER I GOT HOME :
You can't see it in this photo but the top Tenacious has a very nice blue patina . The second from the top I did the same process to but either the ?heat treat? was a touch different or the Golden Kiwi was some how different but it just would not take as dark of a patina ; I have gone at it over and over .
The third M4 Tenacious with the shortest blade I did not try to patina .

Below that is the Case Black Synthetic Trapper ; Spay blade removed (just cut off and folded stub closed) . I then cut the clip blade short . The clip blade has negative edge angle where as the Spay is just in line with the handle . I recut the nail nick as the original nick was cut off . Has a black patina with a hint of blue and other colors . I have an identical Trapper with just the full length clip blade and it has a stunning dark blue patina ; the best I have been able to produce yet . So I elected to cut the less attractive blade shorter . This blade took a very satisfying edge . I layed the sharpening angle back using the Edge Pro Apex so the edge geometry is more acute and polished the edge to Shapton Glass 4000 .

That is stick on and then heat up , rough rubber gun grip tape on there to lend some traction when gripped there with thumb and index finger in a pinch grip . I cut slots all the way across the back of the handle spine in the same area for spine jimping . Time will tell if this will cause the blade spring to fail in that area .

Finally we come to the Spyderco Para 3 in Cobalt Blue G-10 with Spy 27 Blade . Again let me warn anyone duplicating this mod : that blade shape tends to wave part way open even when you don't want it to so BE VERY CAREFUL .
I have a great time using this knife ! And I really like the handle color .
The Para 3 has a lot of negative blade angle that makes this knife with a short blade super useful (for me anyway) .
Some how this photo does not capture the full extent of the negative edge angle (appears less angled down) .
